I had 4 inch drop but changed to 3" shocks work well for both drops.

I did 4 inches of drop in the rear and 2 in the front. Somebody on the forum here told me i'd be okay with the factory shock location. Is there any truth to that? I looked at the link to the other thread you posted but i'm still unsure.

Since the driveshaft was hitting the cross member that was attached to the trailing arms I had to do something. At first I was gonna shorten the trailing arms and move the cross member back but I decided not to and my dad thought of a better solution. We cut the top out and used to two pieces of steel to reinforce the cross member.

I heard it will work as well just the angle is not correct and the dampening will be effected. I opted to make the brackets it was like 13 bucks for the steel. I also changed out the cross member because the drive shaft would have hit. I think CPP and McCaughy both make one. Page one of following link shows what I did. Haven't been posted as much as i'd like but here is some of the progress i've been making. I picked up some brand new seats from a 2017 equinox and got them mocked up and mounted today before I took them back out. I also got the engine and transmission set in the truck and I bought a new master cylinder from wilwood since the t56 runs a hydraulic clutch. The stock one could have been used but I would have spent hours making a bracket and everything so I did something a little easier. Lastly i've been working on getting the kick panels close to where im happy with them. I dont think I posted pictures but I sprayed the whole front end in a coat a single stage black to see if my body work was coming out nicely and it helped me find a few spots needing attention and ive fixed the areas that needed the attention which moves me to needing to sand down everything again with 600 and it will be ready to paint. After I do that ill move on to the bed to start the major body work.

I also am looking for a borg warner t56 dust cover. I read that GM discontinued them and cant seem to locate any.

Been making some progress on the truck lately. I got the rear fuel tank and a new fuel pump mounted. I even fired the engine for the first time a couple weekends ago. Did a little bit of painting on some of the front end parts and have starting reassembling some things like inner fenders, the core support and new radiator.

Did some painting this week to the inside of the cab, turned out pretty good and it was really rewarding to see all the time I spent making the kickpanels straight and what seemed like and eternity sanding the roof. Let me know what people think about the color, its lighter in the pictures.

Surprisingly enough the interior isn't an original color, I was having trouble finding examples of factory colors so I had to find one I thought would look good and I tried it. I chose a color from urekem and can post the name if someone is interested. I got the radiator from big car show/swap meet and don't remember the brand.

A lot of research and hard work payed off. Switched my speedometer over to an electric programmable unit so I can have a functional speedometer and odometer with the t56 trans. I started by taking measurements with a caliper and printing some pieces to get the needle in the position is would have been in from the factory, next I 3d printed a small coupler to adapt the old needle to the new shaft diameter. Then I put sticker on the gauges, painted the needles and cluster housing. It turned out good so far but still have to hook power and signal to test functionality of the speedometer. I also added a tach and am really pleased with how it turned out.

Since my new car has electric choke, I put the button that cycles the setting for the speedometer in place of the old choke location. Also got the light switch, ignition, wipers and cigarette lighter in.

I got a custom programmable unit from a company called NVU I measures the sweep and then told them the degree and that it was 0-100 and they designed one to work for me. I haven tried using it yet but the quality seems okay.

Did some painting, insulating/sound dampening, got the seats installed and bolted down and put the door seals on. The pictures I have now don't do the color any justice, it looks awesome! Now onto the fun getting the doors on without scratching the paint.
