Good deal .

There's always sufficient time, you just need to decide to allocate it .

Re: 1963 GMC Step-Van 7

Well Folks... it is once again very slow in the workshop, and it seems that this year is slower than it has been for a long while.

The BIG (Little) Project in the workshop is a 1948 Case Model S Tractor, that I picked up last May. The Engine is stuck, so I will be doing a complete in frame re-sleeve and top-end rebuild so that I have it in running condition to assist in shuttling not only the Van, but also the trailer in and out of the workshop.

Just going to offer you a few sneak peeks at what I have on the go, and YES... You can see the Van sitting in the background. I ordered up a Complete Sleeve Kit with new Pistons, Rings, Pins and Gasket Set to get me started, from a Company called Saeli Implements out of Geneva, New York. I will most likely be dealing with them again in the future. This in-frame rebuild will be upgrading the original bore size from 3.5 inch to 3.625, giving the original displacement of 154 cu.in. an increase to 165 cu.in. The Parts are due to arrive this friday, so I better get busy with the tear down... because making room for the Van, will be the next priority on the list.

Cheers!

Re: 1963 GMC Step-Van 7

Well, it has been a while since I've posted on my thread. The Van is still waiting in the wings while I build my workshop, but I did manage to get the case tractor running.

Been using it already, lol. The tractor is going to be a nice mover to push/pull vehicles in to the workshop this winter.

Sounds cool man. Acres, fixing up the house, building the shop, getting a tractor running, and oh yeah a van.

Re: 1963 GMC Step-Van 7

Oh Yes... the Van is going to get some loving this winter. We are coming into our busy time with customers wanting their cars ready for winter. Alot of tire changes and oil changes, light maintenance, etc...

My Boss is already reserving me a spot in the workshop for the van, closest to the show room... so that customers can see that we do more than just service their vehicles. We have two customers with an interest in my skills, to assist them with their own projects. It is amusing that not many of them know what can be done and is still affordable.

More to follow soon!

Re: 1963 GMC Step-Van 7

Whoohoo! **UPDATE**

It is finally time once again to tow the Step Van into the workshop and get some stuff done on it... But in the mean time, I recently purchased another van. It is a 1966 P30 GMC - "KING"
