Re: 1971 Cheyenne K20

Hit a big milestone in this project on Wednesday evening. I pulled the truck out of the shop under its own power for the first time since January 1, 2024. This has been a long drawn out and sometimes frustrating process but i think it is what the truck deserved.

Re: 1971 Cheyenne K20

I’m 90% there. Just need to get the exhaust done next week and it’s ready to hit the pavement. Needs a good wash and wax after sitting dor almost 2 years. I guess in a way it’s a “barn find”. My youngest son doesn’t even remember this truck being a running and driving rig. I’m excited to change that and cruise around the back roads with my boys.

Re: 1971 Cheyenne K20

Update? I love this truck. I would do my 72 K20 like this but if I removed all the rust, all I'd have left is a gas cap.

Re: 1971 Cheyenne K20

I do not have much to update other than I had to source a new radiator for the truck as my old one was going to cost an arm and a leg to re core. The truck is back together and driveable but I have not ventured very far from home in it yet.
