Re: First time swap started
Not a ton of new images, but I did get things wrapped up and took it for my first short trip.
New Tejas transmission crossmember, got my driveshaft shortened, and redid my exhaust to work with the new xmember. Took a cut up pile of pipe and a new H-pipe kit from jegs ![]() And put it together into something that fit ![]() Put in a new tune for the manual transmission, fought with my clutch safety switch a bit but initial checks on the stands worked out. My first test ride was with no seatbelts and only 2 bolts holding the bench in.... Backed it out fo the garage and then couldn't pull forwards, thought the clutch or something must have been installed wrong before realizing I had backed onto a patch of ice & snow in my driveway ![]() First short ride went well! Now I pulled the seat out to put down some sound deadener and new carpet. |

Re: First time swap started
Got the Kilmat down, new carpet and installed some Corbeau seats. At some point I plan to either build or buy a center console to fit in here. Wild how roomy the cab feels with these buckets.
The ACC carpet is not laying down as nice as I'd like. It has some spots where it's totally not laying down flat on the floor. For now it's fine. I may pull the seats back out in like July and let it bake in the sunshine for a bit and see if that helps. ![]() ![]()
