Re: post up your camping pics
like i said, beautiful day, not to hot
stopped at the swamp this is where it got interesting. both dawgs fell off the log twice. wish my cam had faster speed between pics- missed some funny as hay puppy moments, although i did get one vid of Rumbledawg doing a header off the log balancing puppies... |

Re: post up your camping pics
still balancing....
and bam! Roxie knocked Rumble off the log now Rotts is pointing in the wrong direction, and the water is about 10 ft deep.. just a hair too soon with the pic. Roxie tried to step off onto a small floater and it dumped her. she then managed to pull herself up on to a bigger log. but it's to far from shore so she has to come back the same way |

Re: post up your camping pics
somehow she jumped off the floater so quick she made it back to the big one...
...however, something caught her eye...again just a tad too quick, going for another splashdown... now Rumbledawg is going to her, you can see her swimming back to the log... |

Re: post up your camping pics
and of course Rumbledawg just had to see what Rotts was into...a micro-second before he went in...the two of them were like Laurel and Hardy, in a span of about 5 or 6 mins they both took the plunge twice..
after enuff falling we hiked up the creek to the top of the hill. almost walked right pass this upon closer inspection, not quite sure what they were building-shelter or a stand. and Rumble has to get into every pic, look in the middle and near the top |

Re: post up your camping pics
meanwhile back at the canal the beaver is still at work on his log
the grass has gotten taller too, taller than Rumble. Rotts you have to carefully look for moving grass to see where she is, Rumble leaps around like a deer, he keeps jumping up so he can see where he is going...again, some funny as hay vid of him prancing threw the grass check out the vibrant color on these ducks... Rumble jumped in and put them to flight, but i got kinda a cool pic of him taking off. just wish the bird wasn't so blurry |

Re: post up your camping pics
i wish Dale, the 2 of them are a mile a minute...
with the heat wave we had, the canal and tributary rivers are coming up with the snow melt. can still see the handrail at the canal Rumble jumping up to see whats on the other side of the grass took the mutts to a little creek, Rumble really likes laying in water...weird and using the creek as a bidet... |

Re: post up your camping pics
Roxie usually has good balance...
but on this day she fell into a 3 ft hole, luclily she landed on a rock where i could reach her and pull her out, cause the hole went down another 3-4 ft.. took the crew down to the canal....this is a place where a long wheelbase comes in handy... |

Re: post up your camping pics
even though this riding area is one of the best in BC, we hardly ever go there cause it's always a gong show. but wife's sister talked us into going there one weekend.
actually i think my sil wanted to show off the used cargo trailer she bought, for a give-away price. 18 footer for $1500, only thing wrong was the leg was busted- big whoop, would love to get a smoking deal like that for our quads...def. jealous... |

Re: post up your camping pics
these does wandered into the staging area. cause it's a riding area- no discharging firearms anywhere around here, and these does seem to know that. i got closer to them than anyone else
this place has every kind of terrain, from kids to begineer to pro to total banzai. i only got a couple pics cause wife would not follow me and the boy and she was packing the cam, but keep reading, we made another trip there yesterday and hit the banzai trails |

Re: post up your camping pics
took me 40 mins to get these rocks balanced for a pic and took Rumbledawg 2 seconds to come knock them over...
took the mutts to the trail of 7 ponds. 'bout a 5-6 mile hike in to some of the best natural fish rearing ponds around here heading in |

Re: post up your camping pics
trail is not very used, and no water anywhere for the dawgs to drink up
Rotts sure was happy to find this little mud puddle for a drink |

Re: post up your camping pics
Rotts wandered out onto this log, but it started sinking, thought for sure she was going for a splashdown, but she made it back before she went in
and another fish pond the water was crystal clear, it's actually about 8-10 ft deep, but you can see right to the bottom. clear enuff to see mankinds mess.... depressing seeing this krap in a pristine area... |

Re: post up your camping pics
another pond
came across this nicely resto'd boat tail on my way home and at the canal. has become a fav place for the mutts, they really enjoy coming down here and cooling off in this heat. getting further and further back from the pump house, water is still slowly rising |

Re: post up your camping pics
in an effort to try not fry when i take the dawgs out, took them out at night a few times (11pm - 3am)
in the mountains with zero background light, my cam don't take good nite shots...mutts really enjoyed going out after dark though |
