This thread's starting to get buried again so I thought I'd revive it since I haven't actually contributed to it yet.

This is a photo of my dad's '68 from the early '80s.

And this is my '68.

Here is my '68 parts chaser/shop truck. Got a few more things to do to it, but it is nearly finished. Been driving the wheels off of it and loving every minute of it! My buddy Ace likes it too.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Speaking of wheels, that's an interesting look you have going on there. Truck rallys with Vette type rally center caps or Shannon cones? And how are they attached? The red pin stripe on the trim rings catches the eye too.
Good lookin Ace.

Hey, thanks for the compliments Boog. Yeah, the Corvette rally caps on the truck rally wheels is a unique look. There is a seller on Ebay that sells a set of formed steel clips that bolt to the wheels using the holes that would normally mount the truck center caps. The rally caps just snap into these clips just like they would on the car rally wheels. It is a pretty ingenious idea. See pics of the clips below. Takes 3 per wheel. They sell them for both 5 and 6 lug truck rallies. I think I paid $70.00 bucks for the set.

Ace is my Buddy of 9 years now and he loves to go for a ride in "his" truck. Take care man.

Re: Let's see those slant noses. Calling all 67's & 68's, clips too.

Good story here. I built this truck with my son his senior year in high school. Told him if/when he got into medical school, I would give him the truck. Fast forward several years, to May of this year. He got his acceptance letter middle of May. I gave him the title. He sold the truck 2 days later, which is why I'm building another one... Both of these were mine, the '68 on the right and the '35 Ford on the left. I know, Ford in this post, but it's a neat little truck...
