Here's a semi direct link to my car show photo's. http://drewrenshaw.com/
Then hit the Event Photos button. Click to view the photo original size and then download it for free if you like. Should be about 600 pics total.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
I found this cool 58 wagon that had a headliner that was spot on what I am looking for. WRONG color of course, but the smooth monolithic look I'm after.
It was an Ultrasuede type material which is just like the Alcantara material I am using. It is found on super optioned Porsche 911s and Ferraris.

That show must have been huge; I drove back from Charlotte today and 40 east was a rolling car show.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
All 600 pictures are up now.
Yes it was a huge show, I only took pictures of nice cars that I am interested in. Hundreds, maybe thousands of cars I just walked by.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
A couple of sketchy items.
Seat mount could use a little lateral strengthening. Maybe?? Explosion proof gas filler tube mounting location.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Watching you build from Afghanistan. The pics from Pidgeon forge Car Show remind me of the times, when I was stationed at Ft Campbell in Clarksville, we would take the trip to the car show. Stay building. Living thru the truck with drawal symptoms by lurking on here.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Thank you for the sharing your build. I am currently preparing to do something similar with a 72 Suburban body and a 2000 Suburban frame. I really appreciate your information although I will be honest it somewhat scared me as I will be trying to get mine mated up and running this summer. I saw that you part out late model trucks and I have an assorted list of needs to complete my chassis. The previous owner removed the fuel tank and cut the fuel lines, cut out the cats, which I am planning on using and for some reason took the drive shaft. It is a 2000 4wd Suburban so if you have any surplus I would rather give you my money than a salvage yard. Could also use a good 5.3 vortec. I used to live in Memphis and reading your board made me remember the many good people there, keep up the good work.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Nope! It is the even more rare "Ejection Seat" option! First the bolts crush, taking the initial impact, then the entire seat and occupants can eject through the windshield, which hopefully has already been cracked by the impact for a smooth exit. "Watch out for that steering wheel Goose!"
