Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

sorry guys and gals it was literally 106°F today and 200° in the Good Enuff Garage so as much as I wanted to shoot a video I'm sure the camera would not have worked in the sauna

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

Ha, just got back in town and went through the steering column build. I had those same "doodads" when I built mine. Also, that bracket you built looks a lot like the ones I 'found' for my front bumper to mount to the S10 frame.

Getting close, can you feel it yet?

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

and we got ourselves, one finger power steering, completely CANable Free simply works in fail safe mode, (I believe this means the assist is the same regardless of vehicle speed as opposed to being progressively less as the speed increases in an actual Prius, oh well we'll take it)

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

the fender bolts come in two sizes, small, and these 3/8"-16 thread size x 1 1/2" long

so after hours and hours of cleaning, wire wheeling, and media blasting the originals, I decided to paint them with my wallet

thank you Batman!

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

You’re making great progress. I thought you were joking about the bracket you cobbled together for the electric power steering, but once you mounted it then I realized it was legit.
