Hi!
Still working on the tanks. Running two hard 3/8 stainless fuel line from back of truck to front, working on a boxed in X frame is fun, I swear! Flex lines will connect hard lines to tanks. I plan to box in the rear section of frame before welding in new cross members.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Had a bit of a rough day at work, so got home and cut the grass, I find this very therapeutic, and then went to the garage, dragged what's left of the truck out onto the drive at 6.30pm and used the rust converter I bought last week.
On Saturday morning early the cab is being rolled off, so I guess in the end this has become a "body off" job. Never intended to go this far, did I mention this before? Let's hope the weather holds out for Saturday.

At least it works for my head as well.. Some of the jobs I do are quite small, but they are progress. That hood looks just lovely. Well done.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Finally started working on my 65 Suburban again today. Stripped the top half of doors and working on rest of paint around the windows. I need to get it looking uniform before I do my dads military service in January. He is the main reason Im doing a home style resto/driver.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Sorry for the off topic question, but does DLW have a build thread going for his truck? I tried searching for one, but came up with nothing.

Hi Joe, I do not have a build thread unfortunately. I'm terrible about making a cohesive thread like that and keeping it up to date. But fill free to shoot me any questions..

Not to the truck but for the truck. Just drove through the monsoon we,re having to acquire a set of 15x8, 6 lug truck rally with rings and centers, all in great shape for 125.00. Gotta get them deals when you can, lol.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
That's ok, I understand. That's why I don't have one going for my truck also! I will definitely be shooting some questions your way regarding the motor/electrical set up of your truck. Thanks!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Woke at Stupid-O-Clock and had a mug of tea.
Very happy with the outcome so far. All the cleaning and preparation paying off, it does take up the majority of the time but if you do, the result will not come back later to bite you in the bum. Floor was seam sealed inside and outside on joins and all welds. Underseal brushed on, I have also got spray on Schultz underseal but prefer. Getting into corners and around the back of folds. Altogether now....... At about 5.30 Martin popped over to help me get the cab down and move the bed into the back of the garage. He seemed happy with the progress and result, he has a super critical eye. So this is where my weekend ended, during the week I will paint the inner floor as I had done a second coat of seam sealer as well. Tired tonight, but happy.

Well with El Nino coming thought it best I deal with my drip rail. It'll take a while for the new paint to fade in but otherwise came out pretty good.

Nice looking plug wire setup, What brand are they and where to buy them? Where did you get the wire loom kit from? That is what I want to do to my engine.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Typically, I could not leave well alone.
So late afternoon I went and dragged out the truck and used the last of my rust converter on the chassis. I left out the prop shaft and diff, will do them when I get back and get more Vactan. This will be the last work I do till I get back from Texas, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma.
