Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

I don't have the CPP kit, but I do have the McGaughy 13" kit (same hub and rotor) and my 1st Gen wheels fit without issue.

Brandon's Truck.

These wheels are work to make them fit, but it is SO worth it when done correctly!

Here is some motivation for you all.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Finally got around to taking a pic with my 338

245/40/18 and 275/30/20 Nitto's. I do have 2/4 drop springs to install so that should help, but I think I need a 294/45/20 rears.

Did this. Ground rotors up front. Spacers in rear. Measure 3 times before ordering spacers if you want it tight. 20" wheels, 10" wide in back with 6.23 bs, 8.5" wide in front with 5.24 bs.

so without reading through 50+ pages of jibber jabber, can someone confirm or deny if the new wheels do or do not fit '72 front rotors without having to grind the hub?

No.
You will have to grind the hub. Period.
Just like in the picture.

I personally would rather have the 5.25" BS on a 8.5" wide front wheel.

Finally scrounged enough cash together to get everything done. Looks pretty good. Now to lower the rear 1-2". I need functionality so no more dropping for me. 20x8.5 front 20x10 rear.

What size tires are you running?

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

I am running 275 45 20 tires all the way around. I was going to stagger the front width but decided to just get a narrower wheel. I did not want directional either. I like to rotate my tires. At least side to side is better than nothing.

this 67 truck has the 71-72 rearend which, like you know, is wider.

4 years! I would have gone crazy looking at them that long... Looks good and I guess they fit without issue?

I had the typical issues. Ground the rotor nose and used 1/4" spacers with longer studs. Rear fit perfect.
