Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's for all your prayers. She is in a better place now, no pain, no suffering. I have so much support from family and friends, I am struggling to cope with it. The shop where I work has been behind us this whole time, and really took care of us all the way.I was blown away today as the guys on all three shifts took up a collection for us. My wife and I have friends in this small town, but I did not realize how many until this last week. I now know what my mission is- to finish this k5 the way she would have wanted me to. I am going to name the K5--TK5. For my Toni Kay! The funeral is saturday, and after that the TK5 build is on the top of my list! Thank you for looking at my long post, but I had to get this out of my head somehow.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's for all the prayers guys. I think Santa is gonna need a bigger sled this year as I have a new set of 5 tires coming, and 3 more new wheels to complete the setup. Battle born beadlocks with 40x13.50x17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Kids said, dad don't buy youself presents this year, so I didn't, these are for my TK5. She would be very happy that I am working on this project again.Wish I could have got it done before she passed, but I am on a mission now to get it done for her.Happy holidays to all!!!!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL! Santa came early today, and dropped off the new Nittos. These are actually more than what I had hoped they would be. They are really exactly what I was wanting in a 40" tire. Loving the new Battle Born beadlocks also. I liked the looks of the Hummer 24 bolt wheels and tires, but just too heavy for my setup. Also, had to run the wheel spacers, did not like that.Very, very happy to have this tire and wheel combo now. I got a few pic's from the basement tonight! Once again MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone here and your loved ones all year long!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Well, times are a changing here on my build. I got the new tires and wheels now. My new son in law insisted we mount one up on christmas day.Looks real good on the TK5! My youngest daughters man is really into helping with the build. We did a walkthrough in the pole barn yesterday. New plan is to take out what was fabbed up at Mayhem Garage and start over. Thinking of going back to the original rocker boxes, because I already have everything here to do it. I am going to do rock sliders though, to protect the rockers and etc. Ordered up a set of 58" ones from Trailgear last night. They are for Toyota's, but are a universal weld on slider. With my new son in law, my youngest daughters man, all my friends, and the will to get it done,it is on now!!This new rock slider setup is completly different from Mayhems design, but I think this is the way to go for my build.Wow, long post, but man am I stoked!!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Very cool idea. Good to have family in on the build to help out. Then they are invested in it as well.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Happy New Year!!Orderded up the TrailGear sliders, and consulted with my gurus today. Looks like I may have made a good move this time!My new idea is to run a exo tube from the front bumper, up around the front fender, outer wheelwell and tie into the rock sliders above the rockers in the front. Then in the rear, tie into the slider and go over the rear fender/outer wheelwell area, and connect to the custom rear bumper that matches the front. Never been a big fan of the exo cages, but this looks likes the way this is going to go now!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
The new doors for the TK5 arrived at work today! Very happy with the shipping. Boxed up, padding on all the sides, and banded to a pallet. Not one ding or scratch on em! Many thank's to WES at classic chevrolet truck parts! Everything I have bought from WES has been great, as is the service. Pic's don't really do em justice!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Ok, got the new doors here, been ordering all the possible new internal parts. Got most of the internal hardware stuff from LMC. Rest of window parts got from Classic Ind. Then I just ordered up the glass and rest of stuff from LMC! This is going to be one hell of a puzzle for me, but I will figure it out! I will post up some pic's when I get it all here!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Just ordered 2 Corbeau baja ss seats for the front of my TK5. Hope they are going to fit the way I want. They will mount to the rollcage I am looking to build. Future son in-law is buying a tube bender and I am in for half the cost. I am good with that, as he will do most of the hard work, I will just have to buy the materials. Hook me up with rollcage and exo work on my TK5!
