Re: My 1965 build thread
Good shizz Alan. I'm real stoked to hear that.
It's cool to hear that out of nowhere you've got people contacting you when there was such a recent drought.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Allan can I come work for you. You can pay me in body filler. I really wish I could work for you, I'm getting burned out on construction. I like working on trucks a lot more. It's not as back breaking. Just bought me a creeper from hf yesterday $15. My dog hates it he pulls me all around the garage by my feet. Gets kinda dangerous. Good to hear about your new work.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Alan, How close are you to wanting to install the hood latch? I am asking because I was working on my truck yesterday and I got from the pull-it-yard the setup from a Camaro and it looks like it is just about a bolt in affair with maybe having to make just a little bracket here or there. With that setup you can actually have the hood release in the truck without having it able to be opened from the outside. Just a thought if you are interested.
Awesome truck, everytime I see that color it looks better!

I just got a quote back from the web guy. To set up an e-commerce forum based web site he wants $2000. There's no way I could afford to do it. I don't even know if the price is in line. Quote:

Re: My 1965 build thread
Yeah post some pictures. I was thinking of doing the same with a pull cable, because I also want to shave all the front holes in the hood.

Now we need to discuss my shame, my sickness: I have to over-complicate things and I have to put that original transmission hump air conditioner "cabinet" back in my car and run the cold air ventilation through that unit, rather than using the vents supplied with the kits. Is this doable? Or should I spend some more money on special therapy? Mac.

What I'm taking about is where the evaporator and blower are located: The metal box that covers them. I have one - that's absolutely classic - black wrinkle finish with really cool chrome vents - that even swivel! Can I conceivably adapt this to the Vintage Air system so I can have this sixties accessory in my car's interior? Or, would a sedative be more practical? Mac.

Re: My 1965 build thread
Alan, I'm really sorry to hear that. If there is anything i can do please don't hesitate to call. My son and i were just talking about you Saturday. I should have called you this weekend. I'm just signing out and saw your post. Its a very tough process, i am not looking forward to it with my father, as his health is failing as each week passes. We have spent more time together since i got this truck than my entire life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!!

Re: My 1965 build thread
My condolences to you and your family Alan.
I just spent a few hours with my Dad and Mom this weekend. They live about 7 hours away, and we don't see each other enough. We met up to let them keep my 2 boys this week. I did find out that he has my orginal seat for my 65 in his barn though. I thought it was long gone...
