Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Does anyone else have certain virtual senses kick in when they see pics like that. I can almost smell the freshly ran engine, the new paint, and even the interior. And it smells good.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Now that you mention it, freshly scorched Moly Orange engine paint, a drying lacquer paint job and a new interior do bring back memories. I used to work as a mechanic, and also painted many of my cars (lacquer) back in the day, and my dad upholstered many of the family's cars. Good scents, indeed!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Most of the stock stuff was not functioning, and with a 140 amp alternator, the amp gauge was a fire looking for a place to happen....I like lots of information,so the gauges are normal for me....

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Finally got my seats installed. 2003 Blazer Seats with shoulder belts. Driver is power...I need to build a little bracket to house the controls. Had to build a rail for the inside track on both seats, was a PITA but it's done now. Super comfortable compared to the stock seats...stock seats are available if anyone is looking?

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I threw together a cup holder. It will go in the cab corner. I will not be able to drink out of the drink while driving. It is more of a place to put a takeout cup on my way home. I am going to put some hook Velcro on the outside to help if stay in place.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Looks good...sometimes you just need to have a place to sit your drink. I need to come up with something for a cup holder. I usually drink 20oz cokes and need something for that.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I cut the super rusty 69 bed sides off my trailer today so that I can bolt on the old bed sides I recently swapped out from Frankentruck

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I installed my Clifford intake with 12Bolt cast iron headers and a Holly 450 3BBL (converted via 12Bolt kit) and got it fired up last night!
Need to dial it in now and get an exhaust installed. I borrowed this pipe bender from a neighbor to bend my throttle linkage and it rocks! Initial results... Sounds Good! |
