Re: What did you do today not on your truck...

Cut and split wood today till the rain from Henri started. Suppose to get 5 to 8 inches on top of the rain last week from Fred . Been a very wet summer so far the Spring house overflow is gushing hasn’t done that in 7 years . My water comes out the mountain from a natural spring that’s been hooked up to a cistern. That is overflowing too

Made tomato juice, 20 pints. I bought the juicer at a garage sale years ago and it works great. I think it is a 1967 model, maybe older....

I had some rock brought in to fill my canyons in the drive. I started with a shovel and wheel barrow to fill in 18" deep spots.

Today I had a friend with a box blade on his tractor come by and spread some road base I had delivered. I got washed out back on July 3rd and again on July 31st and have been waiting to fix it in case we were to get more rains like in July

Took out old 20' culvert and installed new 40' culvert. Put in a couple more fence post.

Looks good!

I need to do that too. For some reason the people that owned this property before me never put a culvert under the main driveway. It does have a drain in the uphill side of the ditch but it doesn't drain very well. We had 2 1/2 inches of rain last night and the ditch was full of water ( about 4 ft deep). I would need to bore under my drive though.

You keep enjoying the mac and cheese and I will keep my crew packaging it. Yesterday I had a crew filling totes of mac and cheese noodles for a big company I can't say for who but I will say it starts with a K and ends with a t

Well if you end up doing it, check with Ace Hardware on line. We got the 12" double wall poly at half the price of anywhere else and they delivered to local store for pickup for free.

We were in Eureka Springs, AR a couple weeks back and I had Lemon Pepper wings ( I like just a dab of sauce) but they had been smoked and fried. Dadgum, that was good!

If you go back to Eureka Springs and eat wings without calling me, I'll put a contract out on you.

I was at the Rowdy Beaver, great place. Sorry not to put the word out -Momma and I were actually kid-free for a couple days. We were, ahem, keeping it loose. Had the Big kid's Duramax to haul the boat with, The next time I go down there, I'm bringing a better weapon for those roads! Yee-haw! I promise to call next time.

Hey, it's a bit of a haul for me to get to Eureka Springs but if you guys make some plans in advance and don't mind a third wheel let me know was well. I'd be game for a road trip!

I have only been to Maine once, in January. It definitely did not have the same appealing look. Very Nice camp.
