Re: 1969 Short Wide
No update, did a little work on it. Not enough to even justify pictures. I did start mounting panels last night, fighting with the gaps. Major pain in back side.
Got another iron in the fire right now too. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Yep, I have been helping a little on it. He was tidying up the wiring last night. Still have to prep the engine bay and get the fuel system lined out.
Yeah, it's always good to hear the heartbeat of the project. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Thanks guys. I had a good Christmas.
It has been slow going on the truck. I had to totally work over the bottom of the driver side door. The gaps weren't even close. I had preset them but never had the fender to check it before bodywork. So there was a bunch of wasted time. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Thanks. I'm happy with the passenger side over all but the driver side is never going to be as good as I want it. The contour/shape of the door and fender are just a little different. So they won't match up very good. Both pieces are GM original sheetmetal but from two different trucks/years so, I'm wondering if the tooling wore and they just fit the best pieces together at the assembly line?
In any case, I am stuck with what I have. I'll try to get some more pics when I get the final gaps set. |

Re: 1969 Short Wide
Well, the Oklahoma weather was awesome Friday and Saturday. Did you confine yourself to the shop or did you sneak away to the course?
