I have a 93 RCSB fleetside I picked up last year.
Came from Alabama and ended up in Connecticut after a couple year stop in Ohio. Not a speck of rust or rot anywhere on it.
No build thread on this one. I don't take many pictures anymore. I've been just keeping my head down and working on stuff.

Thank you sir.

With the rate that OBS trucks are appreciating nowadays I figured I better get me one last truck while I can still barely afford it. I'm going to retire soon so I need something to focus on anyway.

Very nice truck. I think I said this before, but these OBS trucks look better to me than the new trucks.

Hey Kevin. I've got my eye on a GMC sportside near the same color as yours I hope to snag before long.
Care to share your drop and stance specs?

Sure.

It's a 5/6 drop with DJM front coils, Belltech spindles, Belltech flip kit and Belltech Nitro-Drop shocks all around.

Wheels are stock with 255/60 and 275/60 Cooper Cobra (Coopacabra) tires.

It sits a little bit better now that the front springs have settled in. Drives great. No bumps or bangs, no grinding or rubbing under any conditions.

Perfect stance, thanks for the info, looking to do the same on my 93.

Hey Kevin, thanks.
I finally did get a sportside but not the gold one I was looking at. This one is even better. It was my Mom and Dad's 91. I don't plan to do much to it other than maybe wheels and tires then try to keep it nice as long as I can. A carport might be in order.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Thought I'd throw in a pic of my "new-to-me" '89 Cheyenne. When I sold my '80 Squarebody, I figured I was done working (playing?) on vehicles, being 74 and retired, but NOOOO. Found this and figured just one more before I can't hold a wrench anymore. It's got an ailing trans. and a transplanted 305 from sometime in its' past. I put in a 2/4 drop and have a nice low mile 4.8/4L60E sitting on the garage floor that will get swapped as soon as the trans dies altogether. May keep the wheel covers, 'cause every truck I see has custom wheels

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Nice Suburban. Even though what I really need is an economical vehicle for commuting, I keep having thoughts of finding a nice clean K2500 while I still can. Right now at the used car lot at the country corner is a '94 GMC K2500 SLE White with blue interior, same as my '95. I'm afraid to go ask about it. Really clean, nice. Would be great to have one to work and one to keep nice. Better go get some work done around here

Those are all real nice Tim. Too bad I don't have a huge building and a few buckets of spare cash for some like those.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Got it all covered and in balance with the yin yang.

I'll show pictures of my Suburban with it's new boots in a week or so. I'll have the second pair of wheels repainted by next week, the tires will also arrive next week, and so will the valve stems. I also got new shocks to put on while I'm at it. Not that the pictures will show that. I decided I liked the white wheels more than charcoal, since I've been running the wheel/tire set off my '72.

Did I show these pictures from fall in this thread yet? These are 8" wheels (and they rub). I repainted the 7" Accurides which don't rub, same size tire (285/75-16). The new tires will be BFG A/Ts.

Bigger difference than I expected going from the black wheels to white.

I painted mine black out of the gate & was happy. After pulling the caps off for the brake service & subsequent ABS related issues, I've been rolling around for several weeks w/them off & it had me considering a change to my standard dull-aluminum/silver before the caps go back on.

Seeing your color shift result has me leaning toward the change.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Part II

Thanks. Maybe I made the right decision then . The whole idea with the wheels and caps is a retro look and that's how they were on the 73-87s. The charcoal idea was to go with the grille since the original scheme had too many colors going, white body, charcoal grille, black flares, and argent wheels. I also didn't want too much matchy matchy by painting the flares white or charcoal. This was the only change from stock is the wheels and they are what was stock with the hubcaps.

I may buy a '94 K2500 Suburban Silverado. That is also white with blue interior. Being a Silverado it has white flares. I'd keep the argent on those wheels. I won't repeat the steelie/caps look. I always wanted to do one of these 8-luggers with 7" D-hole steel wheels painted argent and use the stock center caps and beauty rings for a look that might look like a factory option...ish. Kind of like those 8-lug Ford steel wheels that came after the steelies. I was considering painting the wheels back to argent but decided white would look good with the white body

I did like the look of the Accurides/caps in argent on my '92 K3500. That truck was less busy with colors being solid green with black flares. Very traditional truck colors, and the argent wheels kept with the stock wheel color
