Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

some day I'll run out of things to media blast and powder coat and will actually have to finish the EV Conversion part

Fun Fact: these took one can of brake cleaner each in order to shoot out and spray out all the media blasting grit out of them that I managed to load 'em up with, but hey it was either that or rust, and let me tell you once they was cleaned up I could spin them spurs with one finger and they would free spin afterwards

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

man I really love how that raw metal steering column looks and am considering just clear coating it, it would give the murder truck some much needed contrast, let me know what a bad idea that is so I know I'm right, ha ha

I love rebuilding steering columns, said nobody ever!

Go with the clear on the shaft, do a stare and compare and then decide.

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

now before I show you the final result let me just share that The Greg went out and bought one of these fancy Vevor $400 let me say that again FOUR HUNDRED DOLLAR dent pullers that absolutely positively suck, unless both me and Patrick are doing something completely wrong, I mean these welds just don't hold, fellers I tried this on my cab and now on my hood and we could not get these to stick at all

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck

so after trying to pull dents with a MIG welder we had to resort to the drill a hole and use a slide hammer to pull, hence the swiss cheese look, nothing we can't fill with a MIG and hours worth of grinding
