My 7 yr. old daughter brought 8 of the Easter version home and said "Dad we have some customizing to do!". She's awesome.

I just picked up these Jada 1/32 scale trucks at the Run to the Sun show in Myrtle Beach. I had not seen this scale before. Here's a borrowed internet pic.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I've never seen those either. Too bad these modern diecast companies can't stick to the tradition scales: 1/87, 1/64, 1/43, 1/24-1/25, and 1/16. It's fine for an exclusive collection of one particular vehicle, such as 67-72 GM Trucks, but fouls things up for putting with other vehicles or dioramas. I think First Gear began the 1/34 scale on the heavy duty trucks they started with, but even they wound up producing in good old 1/25th scale, which makes me happy. I'll probably get one of these just to have one example

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I'd stick around to chat, but I have to head out to drive 70 miles to a farm toy show where I hope to find some good 67-72 diecast.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I went about ape on these. Reminds me of the 80s & 90s when I was sick on old toys and traveled all over to shows. I spent way more than what I did today. My motivation today was it was like looking at a whole Ebay page of 67-72 Greenlights with cheaper Buy it Nows w/free shipping and multiple purchase discount. I got a camper, a trailer combo and a third pickup from one guy for $25. The guy who got Greenlight to start the Dad's Garage series sold me those three. That red & white truck is the first and it's a replica of a truck his dad had. He had a performance shop and his son sells the diecast (wasn't there). The shop/website is listed on the package of the new releases such as Dad's Garage and Midnight Series > TJ's Diecast

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Some have been around a bit, but some just came out. I probably shouldn't have gone. The funny thing is, a month ago I went to a smaller one up at the fairgrounds the day after a snow. Hardly anybody but vendors were there. I spent $20 on two and talked to the guy a while. He and another guy put on the Berryville show, in Boyce for the first time this year (15th annual). I was hoping he would still have a Greenlight I wished I had money for before. This show is much bigger. I recognized his stuff, but I guess it was his son there, and there was nothing on his tables I wanted. There was one very special Greenlight I would have liked to get, but it was ex-pen-sive! Dad's garage (whitewalls w/slots) that was a green machine edition. I don't care for all that green machine stuff with green wheels, I'll pass. Kinda dumb IMO. But this one had green & white 2-tone and normal wheels. The thing was, it was $35!

I just found the individually boxed ones at Walmart. They didn't have the two-tone ones though. They were solid red/maroon; like in your picture. I bought one. $5.97. It will be the only one I buy, in that 1:32 scale.
There were 6 different trucks, with 2 of each one. The 2 of each were the same color. I don't know if that was 1 or 2 cases.
solid black '53 Chevy, solid white '55 Chevy, I forgot what the other were.

I keep coming back here just to look at the picture. The day I first see a rel one it will be "There it is!", after looking at a picture for so long.

I saw the Easter trucks twice. I lucked onto an unopened shipper at one store, so I opened it up and grabbed my Easter set from it. The next day I was at another store shortly after they stocked the Easter cars and they had the trucks. I was back the next day and the trucks were all gone, but there was plenty of the rest of the Easter cars.

I think the Easter Trucks/Cars are a Walmart exclusive.

Here, they were put on side/end cap displays. And at the edge of the toy section. They weren't hung up with the regular Hot Wheels. Ask the stocker in the toy section.
They were here at least a couple of weeks ago.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I stopped into a Meijer store yesterday while here in Michigan and almost had a yellow 69/70 Hitch and Tow yellow one ,they were priced for $3.99 but when I got to the register it rung up to $12 .I told them it was priced for $3.99 and was basically accused of moving all of them to a cheaper peg so I told them to keep it and walked out.
