That truck's not too bad underneath but the amount of filler on a potentially rusty cab would make it tough to pull the trigger. It's a good starting point for an eastern truck.

What looks like a pretty fair but stripped 49 Cab in Kennewick wa. for 200. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...8-0b562f83706e
If I wasn't short on truck kitty money at the moment I'd be going after that one myself and stick the cab on my old frame.

This looks like a very solid project from an estate. I think it is worth the $6k if cab and panels are as solid as they look. fully rebuilt stock frame and 235.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!
That's 8173.95 in 7-10-24 Canadian money. I have my wonderments about someone who "restores" an AD truck and paints the engine orange/red though. That would have to be corrected in my book and is a price deduction.
Still if one wants an "original" or almost original truck done their way that might be a good start as the sheet metal looks workable and if there is full documentation on the engine's rebuild that makes the 6K more interesting. There is value in what you don't have to go out and buy and what you don't have to spend a lot of hours getting in shape for paint. A few but not hundreds that one might have to spend.

54 GMC in a Basket in Seattle. The cab looks pretty nice as does the frame.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!
Idaho is getting as bad as Southern California. Asking 12 K for a 3K at most truck.
Sounds like his wife told him to get rid of it and he has an "it won't sell for that because I don't want to sell it" price on it.

58 Cameo in a basket with title but a bit spendy for me.
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks Olympia WA. One could buy the truck and wheel over to Classic Heartbeat and see Wes and pick up the pieces they needed for it all in one shot.

I probably made him mad because I sent him a pm asking if he still had the original frame and not just the junk 73/87 frame. Without the stock frame that truck is just worth what it is worth in parts. My bad for even getting excited over a Cameo and posting it.

51 GMC panel in Yakima Wa It doesn't look all that bad as far as panels in the wild go. 2500 for it isn't outrageous either.

He also has the clamshell burb body sitting next to it for sale for 4 k but I am not sure if it has a nose on it. Still that is a nice looking pair of clamshell back doors and it looks to have both back fenders. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...code=undefined
Or a COE on a box van frame for 3500. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...code=undefined

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!
Down in Pilot Rock Oregon where my son's father in law cowboys a lot we have this 56 3100 cab and chassis with title for 1K. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks
That one might be a builder for someone wanting to build a 56 or a fix for one with a bad cab and or no title to use the other truck as a parts truck.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!
This is for the BC guys but I'd just about make a road trip to get it.
We aren't looking at the cab but the stand that it is sitting on and for 100 bucks Canadian or US it is a bargain. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...86444234%22%7D You can't buy the material and casters for that. If you are close enough and are wanting to have a cart for your cab that is a bargain.

Long bed Chevy truck with a title in Spokane Wa for 1500 that either has a subframe job or a frame swap. The body parts in the photos look pretty decent.

Fixable 54 GMC 1/2 ton fenders for a bargain price. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...74120692%22%7D
Surface rust and the inner fenders are hacked up but the fenders look pretty savable.

Re: Post your C/L - Facebook finds for everyone to enjoy!
I've got a left one that needs some work and I want 100 for it. It had a piece of galvanized tin pop riveted to it and a layer of bondo on it to cover the indent when i bought it off the guys trailer outside a swapmeet when he was leaving. I cleaned him out of the AD truck pieces he had for a very reasonable price.
