I will be there on Saturday. I will be looking for your truck as I have always liked it. I am considering painting my 1950 GMC truck the same color so it would be nice to see it in person.

Re: 58 GMC Project

I wish I could go, but that's just too far to drive and turn around and come home. I thought about flying down and staying the two days, but the wife already thinks I'm insane when it comes to cars and that would just push her over the edge.lol

I don't think it's insane at all, but hey we're car guys! But, since we're also married car guys and I'm sure like me you want to stay married so you know it's always smarter to keep the wife and as they say "when the wife is happy we're all happy"!!!!

Re: 58 GMC Project

CAL 58 GMC,

I looked for your truck at Goodguys in Pleasanton today.

Didn't find it anywhere. Were you there?

I brought two pairs of shades, and a welding hood so I could get a good look at your truck.

Jim

Re: 58 GMC Project

He was online posting on the 29th. Said he was leaving out for goodguys. He was then on the site (or someone was on his account) active on the 31st. It has only been 4 days. I am not trying to put anyone down for worrying, as I do the same all the time I would just give it a day or two, folks get busy, summer is here etc.

If someone is friends with cal and feels comfy calling him, then by all means please do and update here. Lets hope all is well and he just got busy

Re: 58 GMC Project

Hey everyone all is good. I did have to leave Goodguy early on Saturday. I was having some tingling and numbness in my left arm and hand and ended up leaving the show and going to the E.R. thinking I was have a hart attack or a stroke. I was in the E.R. for just over four hours as ran a bunch of test. All of test turned out normal and what ever the numbness was it was not life threatening. After the Doctor told me this I said now I feel stupid panicking like that, he looked me in the eye and said " you did the right thing coming, had it been a stroke or hart attack things could have gone bad real fast" I went to my family doctor and he did a check and said it's carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis. I got say I overwhelmed with everyone be so concerned, it actually chocked me up bit. I was going to post on Monday but my intranet went down and I just got it back up today. Anyway all is good and thanks for being concerned. Here's a picture before I left. I will post the rest of the pictures I took on the thread I started.
