Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build

In my opinion, this is a better option for the old valve covers on an LS. You don't have to worry about the stamped steel valve covers leaking, and they hide the coils for you without having to relocate them.

Well anything has a potential to leak!! but I do agree that there are alot of options out there, but as far as what looks better, that will be up to the buyer..

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build

Sweet! Runs good enough (way good) for your Pops if that is still the plan?

Save the LS3 idea for the next truck build IMO.

When do we see the 40 Ford finished? Was it getting a HEMI (Gasser Style) or a 2bbl 289?

This is a great example, clean and simple...SuperFly's truck is so slick this motor would be perfect. The engine shop ad even looks classy and 480 hp with out power adders is stout.

I agree, that is nice!!
Im guessing that he'll have a few tricks & subtle touches up his sleeve when/if he does drop that motor in, but either way, great eye for detail, and you can see the compassion in each of his build,

Re: Pops 72 cheyenne dropmember build

Thanks guys for all the nice complaments and help with the new engine. I will be putting the engine in the 72 truck in my new project I am starting. I will be doing a ls 3 and trans in pops 72 with some really cool sheet metal work around the engine. After the 40 is finished I will be painting the 72. Mario and I want to put a new black paint job on the truck but do it right. We thought about doing the truck in red but to sure. That will come later anyway. I will do a rending and let you guys see the truck in different colors and decide what color we should paint it.

Congrats on the magazine shoot, it is well deserved! I'll be watching for it to come out, I still have the street trucks magazine with second chance in it.
