72 k20 project

thanks! i did make them. they are jetted from 1/2" 6061 and then cross drilled for the mounting screws. we were having software issues with the pathing program for a while and i was about to mill them from bar stock. i'm glad the jet came back. much less time involved there

Have any plans on putting any isolators in there to keep the lines from chattering or anything? Nice work, I really like that type of holder.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe make the holes a tad bigger for a piece of hose.

Thanks! keeps the lines all strait. i dig.

no plans. no need. the tube is seamless drawn SS control tube. pretty much like really small DOM only more critically manufactured. the parts are jetted and the head is dynamic so the cut is square. its pretty spot on with the tolerance to the small. after you clamp them down over the hard lines you have to manually separate them. there is no movement and no need for isolation. you could do pull ups off these... haha i will have an actual loom for the wiring and if i need to i will wrap the loom with material to give a snug fit in the clamp.

Thanks! im not sure the mental fatigue of running a 4-40 tap is worth it... haha literally the diameter of a toothpick.

I have a perfectly ruined aftermarket Holley metering block with a broken tap stuck in it sitting at the house right now

such a pain. those tiny suckers are crazy and some of them have terrible minor diameter in relation to the major so they twist off in nothing flat.

been sinking some hours in this little bit of fun...









still deciding on what to do to the end. but, barring the final trim, this is what itll be. the wheel will always be sooty, bedside too im sure. such it is. i still dig the dual exit in front of the tire look. not to mention, really no other option.

What do you think your egt's will be at the 90 over the frame will that over heat the wood? But still looks sharp!!

Thanks! Haha. I'll add that to the list of experience on my resume! How is China? Probably the best crab Rangoon ever!

I'm not actually worried about the heat. It has over two inches of clear space before the wood. The exhaust temp will be relatively cool by the time it gets to the kick up and there is a fair amount of air moving over it going down the road. Time will tell if I am wrong though.

You should have them exit THROUGH the side of the bed.... Add a polishes stainless steel plate to protect the paint. Easy to clean the soot too....

I don't personally care for exhaust exiting through the body. It does look cool on some things, but not for this truck. I had a friend say that the other day while looking it over. I just don't like how it looks when I picture it in my head. If the world were perfect, or I was a better planner I would run a single out the back. As it is, I'm glad I don't have to run a stack. That would be embarrassing... Haha
