Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

Ha Ha I'm trying to narrow it down to one. I want to do frame and power train first, just piecing it together with good used parts. Then I will tear it apart for paint.

I like the calico look -- although I don't think I'm man enough for that pink door But the truck in post #120 of this thread is one of my favorites, and it's got even more colors than yours.

Re: Patina, shop logo'd, rusty trucks?

Found a old pick of my dads truck from the early 90's, he couldn't wait to get this off the doors back then but no way I'd change it now.

This is what it looked like after we did the frame off on it in 03

Beautiful truck. Just curious, did these trucks come with the engine designation emblem infront of the wheel well or behind??? I've seen a combination of both but I would think if your dad's truck had it there in the early 90's that's probably where it was when he got it

71-72 trucks were under the side marker light.
69-70 trucks were behind the wheelwell under the fender emblem.

Yeah, I learned that from these boards also. They moved it in 71-72 because of the Cheyenne Super. The Super emblem went where the engine badge would have gone.
