Wasn't going to post, but I think I turned out great and I've had beer. Fenders and grill are on for the last trial fit! Excuse the tape, grill has to come out one more time for edge sealer and the high side A/C line. This is the first time the finished fenders and grill have been on so you could look at the stance.

Verry nice!

" I think I turned out great and I've had beer." The beer or the truck?

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Got some new old wheels - tires are junk. Got a lot of scrubbing and polishing to do. Here's one that just went through a quick scrub/polish. These have always been my favorite wheels, even as a little kid... Found them in the 6 bolt pattern so I don't have to mess with the 5 lug swap. Feeling pretty good right now!

Congratulations! Just my opinion, but I like the yellow. I don't think it's too much. But hey, not my truck. Looks great!

Cleaned the shop in anticipation of storing the chevelle now that it is starting to rain and snow. Will have more help soon, daughter and teen grandkids are moving in for a while so she can pay down some debt and get a house.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

I finished shrinking my steering wheel and installed it today. Took a tip from Skymangs (sweet 16 build) and used an early 80's Ford ring. Got a new horn button and contacts so my horns work now too. The wheel looks white in the pic but it's the same light grey as the interior.

I got the wheel from Pull-A-Part for $12 and epoxy cost $20, so cost was $32 plus sandpaper and paint.

Put my new fenton headers on. Painted the fentons and the stock intake with VHT Ceramic Aluminum paint. I hope it holds up, whenever I have it back on the road.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?

Well, I finally found a sepentine belt that will fit over my Dorman power steering pulley. Bought the PS pump on Ebay, not realizing it didn't have a pulley on it. Bought the pulley on Rockauto, not realizing it was larger than stock and wouldn't take the stock belt.

So, after the holidays the motor gets plugs & a coolant temp sensor. If the parts I ordered every show up, I could bolt up the 4l60E & put the whole mess in the truck before New Years.
