Looking good! Is there some reason why you didn't spray white where it generally would be and then tape off like it is taped off now? Just seems like it would be less taping and less to cover/faster doing it that way...but I've never dealt with two tone so I dunno

Either one you paint first doesn't really matter. I could have not bothered with taping up the primer where the other color goes, but then I would have had to wet-sand all those areas again to slick them up for the second color paint. I was about to do that out of laziness until my smart helper Gnande advised me that no more sanding would be needed if I covered it up twice. Does that make sense? I will hit the tape line with 600 very carefully to have less of an edge when I un-tape this first go round

Gotcha...just thinking you have a lot more to tape off now than if you did it the opposite way

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

OK, I got out the runs and trash and re-shot it and it looks great! I just hope it dries quick enough for tonight's painting plan.

Paint cans are pictured way back in the blog, but it is just single stage Nason brand.

Mine is a single stage Nasons brand too. It's held up really good on mine and it is driven daily and out in the elements 24/7

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

We spray Nason's products all the time, and they hold up awesome. Really can not beat the product for the price. Awesome job on the truck, you have been a huge inspiration for me, and have always been so far ahead of me that I can look at your pics to keep me motivated.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Did somebody say they wanted to see the reveal?

I was a little scared last night to start, it was a lot of real estate up top, I needed 2 ladders and was stuck painting it in 4 sections (my arms just aren't that long). I had to be lightening fast to move to the new section and still keep a wet edge. It all worked out though and looks incredible, best job I've done yet. Yes I am fired up, can you tell?
