Re: A '54 named Busty
thanks found a brush on can of the same ACE brand black paint I've been spray painting with so I went with it cause I did not have to mask much and just ended up with a black forearm ha ha
Note: a quart was way way too much as my mima says a pinch would have done it |

Those turned out nice. What do you do this time? Not the wire brush method right?

Re: A '54 named Busty
then I went out and rented this completely useless coil spring compression kit
and after badinkering with it for an hour or two I decided to give up on the passenger side cause clearly installation is NOT the reverse of removal, ha ha |

Re: A '54 named Busty
... but we still had beer so we pressed on
I decided to do the driver side My Way (hang the upper control arm, conjoin the spindle to it with the lower control arm attached only at the front to the spindle) then insert coil spring and gently jack the whole contraption up and whalla job done! |

Re: A '54 named Busty
so since the front pads looked like they had plenty of meat on them I decided to see if I can salvage the front brakes and save a few duckets

Re: A '54 named Busty
and just like that we knocked off another 2 seconds off our quarter mile putting us well under 45 seconds, ha ha
so I used a sanding disc to take the ridges down, but here I just show you how I get every inch of bristles off my wiring wheels Last edited by Gregski; 08-25-2020 at 11:47 PM. |

Re: A '54 named Busty
That is a whole lot of work right there. Now are you going to get some of that fancy red caliper paint on there?
