I have better luck at a couple Walmarts in other towns, but never go quite that far. Man, you got it bad!

I don't believe you. I think you're buying them all up and keeping it hush hush. Just save me one in case I don't find one, ok?

I'm sure you will. I wish I could head to my favorite one this morning. It's about an hour out there and just can't afford the time today

Re: Die-cast 67-72

I went out to my Walmart of choice for Hot Wheels are got shunked...nanda...zip...zilch...nuthin'. I did take a look at the third loose '67 Robert hooked me up with and decided, although I don't have a color for it right now, I would go ahead and tear it down, strip, and prime so it's ready to go. I was refurbishing some parts at the times and stripper got involved, so...

Check Kmart, they have an exclusive '67 C10. It's the same flame job/same wheels as the yellow '15 but is green metallic. There's a seller on Ebay with a few right now

Re: Die-cast 67-72

That's an exclusive re-color for Kmart Collector Day on September 5th. It will only be available in special cases to be opened at the Collector Day events in stores on Saturday the 5th. If collectors don't snag them all at the events, then you might get lucky and find some hanging on the pegs in the days following the event.

Or, on either August 30th or 31st, you can order the Collector Day cases from the Kmart website. They are 36-car cases. Each case will have 2 each of the exclusive colors. I believe they're $35.99 for the cases plus shipping, or if you order 2 cases you can get free shipping (free shipping on orders over $50).

Re: Die-cast 67-72

Go on Ebay right now and grab one. I just did today. I never get them at K-mart. I spent $8, oh well. I have to drive 20 miles one way to a K-mart and certainly don't want to deal with a Hot Wheels frenzy

Re: Die-cast 67-72

My nearest Kmart is an hour away, so I'm not wasting the time, gas and tolls to drive up there. I bought 2 of the Collector Day cases last fall to get the green '83 Silverado. There were a couple other cars I wanted from the cases too. This time I'll probably just wait until after September 5th and pick them up of eBay. They'll be all over eBay then, so prices should drop a bit.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm glad to see that HW is finally rolling out a few variations on the '67. We don't have a Kmart anywhere around here, so I got mine from Ebay.

I was beginning to worry. After the original red one came out at the very end of 2013, they didn't do anything with it for all of 2014. I was hoping it wasn't going to be a one-hit-wonder since it is so much cooler looking than the Custom '69 Chevy stepside casting.

Re: Die-cast 67-72

This is the next '67 C10 to come from Hot Wheels. This is a 2016 model, but may start popping up in the 2015 Q cases that should start appearing in a couple months.

I like that one better than either of the ones with flames.

Ah yes, the voice of reason. I need to start listening to that more. I guess I was bottled up on buying for my collection until that Eagle edition came out from GL. Then came Carlisle Trucks, I sold a bunch of stuff, have a decent sized job I started when I got back, and the cork came out. I'm all hung over now... I mean I have stopped for now. The best part is for the next week there should be one in the mailbox about every day. There was one on Monday (3 versions of the same La Troca), none Tuesday, and two yesterday (Blue La Troca w/go cart & Flying Colors '56 Flashsider). I guess what got me going on this was deciding I want to go back and get the various Chevy Truck Hot Wheels I've let past me over the years. I don't want them all, just the ones I like... which is most.

My Hot Wheels spending is out of hand lately. I keep trying to cut back, but it's hard. I have several castings I really like that I've been trying to catch up on. I keep telling myself I can slow down and take my time, but it hasn't been working. On top of the older stuff I'm looking for, there are always new cars coming out I like too.
