Racker, I dig the fenders.
I always wanted to build a '64-5-6 dually and use the step fenders like that

Love it......thought about using ones from a 73-87 myself. Just might have to be more serious about it now.

good job so far.

Had to pick up a free car.. Lifted truck comes in handy for rigging a last minute hitch for a borrowed goose neck..

I couldn't believe how well it worked and how perfectly level the trailer was. I have a two piece hitch that's adjustable for height, so I flipped it upside down and flipped the ball. It didn't make for very good weight distribution, but it worked fine for a light car..

It doesn't have to.

No, but...

...since you do still plan on pulling with it, I would recommend some helper bags for the rear. There is nothing cooler than a slammed dually proudly showing the world that it can still do the deed!!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Nice project. you plan on swapping the 3/4 to the 1/2 ton? or you going to do the Hills Hot Rod 3/4 ton short bed look

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I am planning on leaving it 3/4 ton, 2 wheel drive. TBI 350, 700r4. Aside from swapping all the sheet metal and motor/trans from the suburban the only major mod. is shorting the frame for short wide bed.

Not bad i made my own motor mounts and hooked the 47re OD up on hobbs switches do it shifted into OD by line pressure. That truely was the tricky part getting each switch "3" total to the correct pressure but when i got it right man it would haul the mail It was bored 20 over and had a 50 hp fuel plate with 120 hp stage 2 injectors and NO SILENCER RING . it was the best truck i have built so far but my 88 CC will Take over the world HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA ................... a sinister laugh insues......
