Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Kinda crazy how you have to drill out a autometer adaptor to fit the autometer sender it was made for. lol I ran into that myself. Very impressed with your time management between work, family, church and the truck.

Drew...I have been following this build for months....and JUST NOTICED your location. Watch out cause central Mississippi is just under 4 hours from you. Might have visitors one day!! Several of us members are here and we aren't afraid of a road trip!!
Progress looks amazing, by the way.

That said, have you seen YOUR axle at the shop recently? Either they screwed something up BAD, or it is "misplaced" if they are not giving you the skinny on what's going on. What work were you having done to it?

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
busy with primary responsibilities is a good excuse! as for storing the axle, my front frame rails have been my axle storage, workbench and stand since the dana 60 semi float. Yours are too fancy to do that though.

Things seem to be slowing down on here. Here is the start of my cup holder. I just thought a new picture needed to be added...

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Thanks, I'm swamped with work which is great- but no time to fit in family and work plus truck. Somebody has to lose, and since I didn't father any of you guys, there are no truck posts.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
I got the GTO manifolds that I was dying to have, but after looking at them next to the truck manifolds, I am not sure why they would be any better. Is there anyone here on the board who could say or explain why these flow better? The Car Craft article noted earlier in my thread says the GTO style were worth 12 HP over the Camaro style. I wonder if these are also better than my truck style.
The new one are on top, truck manifolds on the bottom shot.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
IIRC, I read an article that showed the truck manifold flowed almost as well as the Corvettes. I don't remember how they fared against the f-bodies. At this point I would go with which ever fit your application better.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.
Guys,
Make sure it is a happy Mother's Day by spending time with your mother or mother of your kids instead of working on your truck. I declare that everyone has the day off from working on their truck!!!
