WOW .... CUCV2 that truck is in way above condition for a Vt. truck .... nice power/trans adder. That must be a pleasure to drive on the highway.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
As long promised, here's my $1200 driver/future RV tow rig. 454, TH400, NP205 it has gooseneck in the bed with a 6 prong hookup, I'm gonna up it to a 7 prong. The 454 has an Edelbrock 750 and Performer intake, I live at 8,500 ft so I'm thinking about going to a 600 carb, maybe a holley. Already replaced the seat with a stock bench, looks much better. The longer I have it the more I love her, she's put my old '66 on the backburner for awhile since I can justify this one as a family investment since I can use it to haul all 3 kids and a camper and the '66 is just a standard cab C10.

I bought a 4 inch suspension lift and 235/85 tires, because with no lift and 215/85s it looks like a lowrider. I love how your truck sits, can you tell me what lift and tire size you have? I'd be very happy to get mine at that same stance. (havent got the lift or tires on yet) Also, I'm hoping to pick up a 65 c10 very shortly! Last edited by DetroitDan; 06-20-2010 at 08:39 AM. |

We drove the truck out from AZ last Summer. Needed a break from working on rusty trucks. The only changes I have done to it are new BFG AT tires that are one size up from the ones in the pic. We got 17 mpg on the AZ to VT trip. It does ride nice for what it is. Future plans are to make it a SRW truck and put a short box on it with some H2 rims and tires. |

anyone know anything about that huge dually? Im about to lift my 89 and Im looking for advice... where does a guy get those super wide dually wheels like on that red dually crew cab with the light bar? anyone have any info (lift/tire/wheels) on the blue dually CC or the the two tone gray/pink flames one above? is there a way to do this without a body lift? anyone know what movie that black crew cab is in? Cool find GMT. I'd buy it just for the accessories that are on it.

DetroitDan:
I honestly don't know the lift on the truck since it came to me that way, my 454 runs like crap and has no power for running hills. I've looked into rebuilding it but for the same cost I think I can do a 8.1 swap which would work better with the altitude anyway. Thanks for the complements, I love my redneck ride, it's gonna get a rustoleum white paintjob at the end of the summer.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Not mine, obviously. Posted on duallyscene by okcderek, but everybody needs to see this truck.
I especially like the old-skool mini bike in the bed. Last edited by D.FENS; 06-22-2010 at 08:26 AM. |
