I have similar headers on my 68'. I have been very happy with them.

Started painting my new wheels today. I've had these for almost 2 years, but was waiting on needing new tires

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Thanks, Andy! I didn't feel like paying to have the tires swapped over to the new wheels when I first got them, so they sat in those boxes on the shelf since

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Installed KYB Gas-A-Justs to try to keep the top of my tires off the fender well. They help some over the standard Monroes, but still touch when in tight corners.

Have a converted short bed with an LS and a th 400. Had terrible vibration at 70 mph. Shimmed rear 2 degrees down and trans 1 degree up per spicer calculator. Problem solved

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
So true. I have 4" drop springs I can't use because my Monroes couldn't handle them. These KYBs raise the front slightly, unfortunately, and there's still the occasional rub. Might work if I had shorter front wheels.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
I put the doors, fenders, cowl, & cowl extensions back on the truck for the last time until final prep and paint. I still have to work on gap alignments on the cowl extensions, cowl, and hood, and I also need to block out the hood.

Greased all of the front end zerk fittings...didn't realize there were so many! Hopefully that will take care of my squeaking front end.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV
Starting on replacing the bed floor. I have a '72 parts truck with a steel floor bed. I am going to cut down the bed floor and adapt it to the stepside . It will be reversable. I will do a wood floor when I build the truck into a hotrod. I just want it usable now on the cheap. I have the parts and the skill and the time just no money for the replacement bed parts right now.
