[quote=scotts62;3357084] I wasn't referring to you man just the shop i worked at. I whine about doing it too but like it.. does that make sense..

I know you weren't, I couldn't believe the van Alan had pictured. I dont mind doing it either but my elbows disagree. How long 'til elbow replacement surgery...

[QUOTE=Alan's Classic;3357112]Along with all my other projects going on I'm also trying to do a step by step on how to rebuild vent windows. I've got one disassymbled. Now I need to clean and paint the frame and order some glass. Here is one pic of the progress.

I'm following this because I will be doing this in the next couple months

Re: My 1965 build thread

I am going to be getting some from eastwood catalog they have the starter kit for 99.00 and I think it would help using gravity feed while spraying cab roof and underside of fender lips. Glad to see the trucks coming along alan.

Re: My 1965 build thread

I use those PPS liners at the shop, too. What I do, though, instead of letting the paint dry in the cup -'cause that can take forever with base coat- is to pour it in an empty gallon can, then throw the emptied cup away. I use the same gallon can to dispose of left over clear, sealer. primer, and base, so it all dries together. I throw about 5 gallons away a year. THis way, you don't have a bunch of cups crowding your table top like this:

I don't think it has been mentioned yet, but you can spray with the PPS upside down if you want. When you first load it turn it upside down and pull the trigger. It sucks all of the air out of the liner and creates a vacumn so no mater how you hold the gun you will have a constant flow of paint.

Re: My 1965 build thread

lol good call. the only thing is.. not that it matters for the home use. but they dont give ehough caps for the cups. If you use them in a shaker save the caps.

Your right it doesn't matter if your here or not.

I wish I could post some progress. Not much to speak of. Shannon needed to order some parts from Jegs so I went ahead and ordered some fittings and SS hose for my power steering.

Mike's 64 Short Step told me about a 64 in the July Custom classic Trucks that had a 59 Impala dash in it. Did anyone else see it?

I was going to tell you about that, I was a nice looking truck, I just got mine in the mail the other day and thought about you. It really fit in the truck. I wonder if he's a board memeber!

I doubt he is a member. if he was I think we would know about it.

I sold a 2 wheel dolly the other day and have been looking for a lift for quite sometime. I found this one today. It's a year old but has never been used. Drove south of Atlanta to pick it up. I got it for less than 1/2 the price new. Now my dilemma is should I use it at home or at work. I'd diffenately use it more at work, but I want it at home too. I might set it up at home and clean it up and make sure it works. Dennis is gonna cringe since I didn't get a 2 post lift.

Nice find Allan. Those lifts come in handy. Especially with body work, and brake work. You will still be wanting a regular lift though, for under car work. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it, or you for getting it.

Alan,
I agree with Dennis, That lift is not what you need get rid of it and let me know when you do.....and where you put it...

Nice score and I'm sure you will figure where she will most be used at...
