Re: 68 S/C update.....
Circle D is great from everything I've heard and I also like Phoenix Transmission converters for a milder build. Both companies have great products and customer service

Re: 68 S/C update.....
I swapped out my 4" ECE dropped springs for some 5" ECE dropped springs. Now, it finally sits about where I had it prior to doing the LS swap and changing out the trailing arm cross member. It looks level but it still has a small rake. Word to the wise, when you change out your springs, stick to the same brand...

Re: 68 S/C update.....
It's really about the give and take between tire size, wheel offset, and the amount of drop you desire. The great thing about this site is there are numerous examples of drop and wheel options to help you make a decision that will work well for you.

True dat! I really appreciate that! I haven't checked yet. My gauge is messed up and I'm still messing with the tune. I'm installing a new fuel tank setup soon, and then I will try to get a guesstimate.

Re: 68 S/C update.....
Saturday was a beautiful day so, we took the truck on trip over to Florabama for the Annual strawberry festival (150 mile round trip). We were cruising 75-80 on the interstate taching around 2200, . It's nice to be able to ride and have a conversation, lol. Now that I don't have all the motor noise, I can hear all the wind noise from my original window seals so I guess it's time to rebuild them,. The truck rode and drove great, I'm still playing with the transmission tune trying to get the 6 speed to feel the way I want, but it's getting there. The only other issue was the tranny temp was around 180 cruising (80 degree OAT) and would get up around 210 if we were stopped for a while in traffic. I think I might need to add a different aux cooler with a fan. Any thoughts on that?

Re: 68 S/C update.....
I am using the auxiliary cooler from a 3/4 ton truck that will hopefully sit right in front of the ac condenser and get fresh air through the grill in combination with the trans cooler that is built into the radiator. Speedway also has a few nice coolers that can be mounted in the fuel rail. I think I have a nib extra 18" aluminum if you are interested.

Re: 68 S/C update.....
Rob, what trans cooler are you using now? I don't think a fan would be absolutely necessary unless you mount the aux cooler in a location where there isn't much airflow
The new stance looks great

I'm currently running the cooler in the radiator and then I have a dual pass auxillary cooler located under the core support. My temps are good unless I get into stop and go traffic and then they start to creep up. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. PM me your address and I'll send you the pedal bracket.

Re: 68 S/C update.....
I would think the aux cooler wouldn't get much air flow since it's sitting pretty much right behind the bumper. I was thinking about this same issue the other day and haven't made any decisions yet. I may do like Boynton suggested and put it in front of the ac condenser and as low as possible

It was a nice trip. Hopefully there will be more to follow this summer, . I got my new Boyds tank in. This one has an Aeromotive A1000 pump installed internally in the tank. I should have it installed by the weekend.
