I do like the look with the camper shell though. Would be a good start for a back to stock restoration

I don't think it is original paint either. If you look at one of the open door pics, the jam is white.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
FB!! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...8-206f1fd792b0 Each truck is $3,500. I have 2 1966 suburban/carryall. 1 1964 suburban/carryall and a 1965 chevy long bed truck. Clean title on the truck , duplicate title on '64 pink and '66 blue suburban's w/non-op paperwork. The pic of the 4x4 suburban has a different vin than the title so it will be a B.O.S unless you wait the the lien to clear. I have no time to try and get them running so their AS IS!
I will not reply to " is this still available " if their listed....their 4 sale.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
agree - could've been a real gem before repowered
but what's happening here? "This truck has the original GM oak bed."

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
It's likely the vulcanized rear cab mount has torn loose on one side and is sagging. Common problem on 3/4 tons.

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
'62 C 20's in this shape are hard to find. Hard to tell if its has been repainted. If it hasn't, it could qualify for the most original thread. Interior looks mint! https://sacramento.craigslist.org/ct...386994601.html

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
I'm with you forest, sure miss the days before Barrett Jackson made everyone think anything over 10 year sold is collector's item
I've noticed a significant reduction in the number of "decent" condition C20s (of this era) on the market in the last 6-12 months. Used to be that a nation-wide scrub of CL would yield at least a few custom campers and a few other C20s. Now, not so much, and what is listed, is thru the roof price-wise. |

Re: Post your 60-66 craigslist finds
Did a CPI on $2,200 in 1962 ( price of a new C 20 ) in today's dollars...............about $ 20,000. Your pretty much paying the price of a brand new '62 + the cost of the collector car thing for anything that appears to be a very clean turn key pickup. I miss the "just a used car price" of the 70's and 80's too.
