Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
It's in fairly good shape 2 of the bars are missing IIRC, and the paint is faded but there's no major cracks in it and everything is there. I got a guy who want's to trade it for a grill for my truck, so that works perfect.

The amazing part is he can take 6" out of that lift and still run rockwells.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
The PO put a 2 inch body lift on it because the cab has the small hump and wouldn't clear the transmission at stock height. And those are 33's, but here pretty soon I'm puttin 36's on it.

I may try the add-a-leaf method on mine to get another inch or two.

Sweet truck dude! Is that black or dark blue? Do you have pictures of restoring it?

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
It's midnight blue with a carolina blue pinstripe. The bottom section of blue paint is rubberized paint to prevent rock chips etc. I had that done along with rhino lining for the bed.
I don't really have any pictures of restoration. Honestly there wasn't much "restoration". It has low miles and hardly any rust to speak of. A little underneath the floor of the bed that's about it. Even has the original seat upholstery with no tears! Although I could use a new dash pad (who couldn't) I just did the dash light upgrade I found on here with some white paint and #168 bulbs. Awesome results! |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
My new Daily driver while I fix my 76 K20 up with a 465/205 combo. '87 R10 305 TH400 w/ 2.73s. Fuel economy hovers around 20. I absolutely love it. Unbelievable compared to the 8 or so i got out of the 76. All original faded Lamp black w/ factory air and 78,000 original miles! She isn't shiny but it is a very solid truck, very little rust, original owner was a Police Department.
