Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
I’ve noticed sellers seem to respond more quickly to a phone call. Keep in mind that a CL seller must provide an email that CL converts into a link for potential buyers - but if they provide a phone #, they did so intentionally (so is probably their preferred method of comms). Also, sellers receive TONS of garbage email thru the CL email link - so often they rapidly begin to ignore all emails - or an actual interested buyer’s email may get lost in the pile. Since seller lists a phone #, I’d definitely call if interested.

Most likely they’ve had too many emails to respond to them all. But keep trying! You never know.

FL71C10 - sorry, i now realize you were asking about a truck posted 5 days ago, the green 69 - I thought you were asking about the string of posts right above yours when you said you tried emailing. Very sorry about that!

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
No problem. I agree on the calling. If you are serious about buying, you should call. The flip side if that is that if you are a serious seller, you should list your phone #. If there is no phone # listed, I figure they are not serious about selling.

72 Cheyenne Super $10900. Not mine. Nice color combination and it looks to be fairly original. Looking at the intake manifold I would bet it had an aftermarket manifold at some point.

https://yakima.craigslist.org/for/d/...398868391.html 1971 chevy k 10 Long bed , small block, turbo 400 trans, 205 transfer. Cab has the usual rust in rockers and cab corners glass is good, doors good , beds Pretty good, running gear looks good . Front clip is garbage. Have a front clip off of a white 71 that is super nice that comes with see picture. Did not come with carb When I bought it . Have a carb that I put on and it ran. it will go with. Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
This little shorty looks fit for a king
https://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/d...413931088.html 1969 Chevy truck, this is a running and driving stock pick up. 350/350 PS PB Factory Tinted Glass...... Kissed by Mother Nature this shortbed Fleetside retains its original (now 50-year-old sun bleached) paint that cannot be reduplicated (although tried) and very sought after. Getting harder and harder to find, this is a must see to all true antique truck fanatics! All body panels are in fantastic shape with no major dents or dings, nice rockers and cab corners, slight rust in some typical areas, also new tires, all working lights, No back fees and a clean slip and even "the Protecto Plate" are a bonus also........ Anyone with any question about this driving "Time Capsule"

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
First the car cultured watered down the term "original" now there in the process of watering down the term "time capsule". Sorry, not going to happen, regardless of what the seller says, time capsule is the way it looked in its prime, with still nice solid factory applied paint. Lets call it a "survivor".

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2
Personally I would say “original”, “original paint”, “patina”, “not rusty”. But I agree “time capsule” is reserved for a special few that are close to how they left the factory.
