Jim,
Its just a random pic I found but it may very well be it, her , him, whatever in a few years. One never knows.

I will be curious to see how the white turns out since I have the slots saved for the panel truck. I just figured since the inside edges of the holes on the slots were black (at least on mine) it would be the right way to go( for me anyway) but always open to different ideas. I guess I have seen to many of the rice burners lately with the brite colors showing through the wheels.

Richard

Just went and looked, shocks are mounted correct with sticker readable in the down position, boot up.

May have run into another problem, as one of the brake drums seems to have a crack running all the way around it

Just gotta say rock autos return policy is second to none... called them with complaint, they emailed a shipping label, dropped the part off at FedEx, new part is on the way. They paid postage both ways, what a company, will buy from them again

Re: PO has me PO'd

Did you notice the crack before you painted it? That probably would not make me happy if I saw it afterwards

Rich, let me see if I can explain, if you re in the woods wheeling, and if you need to avoid a tree or rock you can make a tighter turn by putting truck into 2wd front axle, lock up one rear brake and turn to that side. Truck pivots on rear axle

Cutting brakes. Got it. Isn't it usually done with hydraulics and not mechanical? I'm the furthest thing from an engineer but isn't that putting a lot of stress on that mechanical linkage?

In pa. We aren t allowed to cut brake lines or splice. VT Blazer did his with solenoids and its easier. My two sons are mech. eng. So I ll run it by them to give you an answer

Sorry to hear about your setback with the flood, hope it all works out for you

I cut the boots off of mine. Looks better and ensures junk doesn't get trapped in the boot, eating up the shaft. Keep up the progress Jim.

OK had some time to play with my handbrakes, had to cut about 2" off cable, but shroud seems to be the right length

Here's what your Camaro would look like if it was machined from billet aluminum. Actually, it's the master gauge that all Camaros are based off of.
