Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

the deal is the company built a 3 piece mold to produce these fenders with well the time it takes to make them with a 3 piece setup is to long so they want to build another set of molds differently to speed up there production time !! all of this slows me down and i need to be selling these trying to RE-COUP some MONEY !!!

Tell them they need to be producing products with the molds they have that you paid for. They can use the old molds while they are making the new molds to speed things up on their production process.

You shouldn't have to pay them any more money for their choice to change to mold configuration either.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

forgot what that truck looked like for a second..lol . Glad that you can make some headway finally. I know the feeling of waiting....makes my anxiety go thru the roof. I might have some cool battery box's someday to post on my build, and one of these days Ill be able to show off the wheels that are super super secret. Then I can get my Slosh Tubs!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

the metalcolour suits the truck , makes me wonder if you cant just polish the steel and clearcoat it , i know theres a special paint that immitates chrome , polished aluminium and flat aluminium but havent seen it in steel yet

That metal looks great. Wish I could find stuff around here that is that straight & rust free.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

looks great mike, glad your back working on the truck! i say clearcoat the bare metal that would look sweet! well only if everything is perfectly straight.
Seriously though are you going to shave all the trim holes or are you going to run stock trim like pops ride ?
I see you got the sloshtubz.com site up also, nice work. needs a few install pics but you may be a rich man soon off the tubz. I may need a set in about 8 years when i get to where you are on my 67.... excellent work man,
I know the feeling of a passed down ride, my 59 wag was sitting in a cow pasture at my wife grandpas farm for 25 years and i cant wait to pull up to the farm house in it and take him for a ride. Its hard having 2 projects going at once though, like trying to work 2 hot women at once you get confused .. which one should i work on today ahhh.. later
