Sorry Killer Bee, but I'm going over to Tim's and play with Tonka's.

That's quite an impressive collection Tim.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I think that was the first time out with them. I'd pick one to pack up then decide it was a keeper... over and over. Then I figured you have to bring the good stuff and let the buyers sort that out. I regret many (about all) that sold and am happy many didn't. I've sold enough off that it's getting hard to chose what to sell. I really enjoyed having them all out for ME to look at. My little museum. I might bring a few to Spring and Fall shows at Carlisle, but have gotten tired of low-ballers...mostly ones who want to turn around and put on Ebay. I tell them "If anybody's going to make money off of these it's going to be me. I didn't start buying these in the '80s for you to make the money". I take a few pieces to Hershey and get my money. It's been a fun experience. Looking at that picture I see many regrets, but at least I still have them in pictures. I'm a bit passionate about trucks. Kinda like Richard's buddy with his Old Chevy picture

Re: My Facetruck thread.

A man boarded an airplane and took his seat. As he settled in, he glanced up
and saw a very beautiful woman boarding the plane. He soon realized she
was heading straight towards his seat. Lo and behold, she took the seat right
beside his.

Eager to strike up a conversation, he blurted out, "Business trip or vacation?"

She smiled and said, "Business. I'm going to the Annual Nymphomaniac
Convention in Chicago."

He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen
sitting next to him and she was going to a meeting for nymphomaniacs!

Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, "What's your business
role at this convention?"

"Lecturer," she responded. "I use my experience to debunk some of the popular
myths about sexuality."

"Really, " he said, "what myths are those?"

"Well," she explained, "one popular myth is that American men are the most
well endowed when, in fact, it's the Native American Indian who is most likely
to possess that trait. Another popular myth is that French men are the best lovers,
when actually it is the men of Jewish descent.
We have, however, found that the best potential lover in all categories is the
Southern Red Neck."

Suddenly the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed. "I'm sorry,"
she said, "I shouldn't really be discussing this with you. I don't even know
your name."

"Tonto," the man said, "Tonto Goldstein. But my friends call me Bubba.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

My mother is 91, still lives by herself most of the time and gets around well for her age up until now.

Wednesday, she called at 1:34 AM and said she was hurting. I got her to the emergency room and she was in fact having a heart attack.

She seems to be doing very well considering her age and the event. I'm afraid her days of living by herself are over.

We just got her home and now we are in wait and see mode to see what we do next. Luckily she has a big support group, so the duties get spread out. I sympathize with people that only have one or two people to care for a loved one.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Same here. She did well to stay independent this long. My mom is 88 and living on her own. She has developed PAD (peripheral arterial disease) in her lower legs recently and now can only walk but so far. Like she can't walk the block to the grocery store. But fortunately she lives in 'the' apartment building (mostly elderly) in the little town she was born and raised in and is like the town elder. Very well supported by most anyone in town. I am very fortunate for that. I have a room for her whenever she so chooses. Could very well come to that, but I doubt it will become necessary. I just hope to have her around a while yet. Hard to imagine what life will be like once she is no more.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I certainly know what you are going through Larry. My mom is 87, had a heart attack one monday night 2 months ago. The doctors said she is not a candidate for stints and she has refused open heart surgery. They said she probably wouldn't make it off the operating table anyway. She is spending her last days at home with hospice care coming in every other day along with our family tending to her needs. We lost dad in 2017. He spent his last days at home. Mom is ready to go and is doing the same. There are likely some hard days ahead. Stay strong my friend.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

[SIZE="3"A father put his 3 year old daughter to bed,
told her a story and listened to her prayers which ended by saying: "God
bless Mommy, God bless Daddy, and God bless Grandma and goodbye Grandpa."
The father asked, "Why did you say goodbye Grandpa?"
The little girl said, "I don't know, Daddy,
it just seemed like the thing to do."
The next day grandpa died.
The father thought it was a strange coincidence.
A few months later the father put the girl to bed and
listened to her prayers which went like this: "God bless Mommy,
God Bless Daddy and goodbye Grandma."
The next day the grandmother died.
"Holy Moly, thought the father, "this kid is in contact with the other side."
Several weeks later when the girl was going
to bed the dad heard her say:
"God bless Mommy and goodbye Daddy.."
He practically went into shock. He couldn't
sleep all night and got up at the Crack of dawn to go to his office. He was
nervous as a cat all day. When he got home his wife said, "I've never
seen you work so late, what's the matter?"
He said, "I don't want to talk about it,
I've just spent the worst day of my life."
She said, "You think you had a bad day,
you'll never believe what happened to me this morning.
My golf pro dropped dead in the middle of my lesson."

I guess I'm just clueless. I've never seen so much todo over a piece of bent, pointed steel before. Some people are giving stupid money for those things. I don't get it. Was it Eric who a while back put up a pic of a hundred pair of hooks?
