Re: A '54 named Busty

who knew Hot Roddin' was a contact sport, man I tell ya two steps forward one step back, now the trans crossmember is hugging the exhaust pipe so we got to cut the intermediate pipe out and move it back 2"

Re: A '54 named Busty

so no pics but a quick update, I unbolted the intermediate exhaust pipe and cut it, welded in a 2" extension, and bolted it back up, now the transmission crossmember clears both the master cylinder and the exhaust pipe, win win

I wanted to re weld the transmission cross member but I need more pipe material for an extension now that it's slid over to the left more

thanks mate, yeah finding motivation has been hard for me too lately, so go out there and do a little every day or every weekend, there are some benefits even if you don't see progress on the truck, like for example if I am cutting and grinding in the garage at least I am not on the couch shoving peanut M&Ms in my mouth or doing repetitive one arm 12 oz curls, know what I'm saying, not saying you're fat at all ha ha I am just sayin'

Re: A '54 named Busty

I will admit that "Master of Pumpets" cracked me up more than I would like to admit. I'm not sure it is respectful to what I think is a great song, but it does make me chuckle.

That should limit her ability to kick you for a little while at least. Kidding aside, I hope her surgery goes well.

Yeah, it's probably how she injured her foot in the first place!

Re: A '54 named Busty

Worst of my surgeries was the foot! I hope all goes well for her.

You know you had to change that crossmember or it would have been something much more difficult just when you thought you were through with the truck.
