I was in Alaska several years ago when they had a massive wildfire a blazin'. I know the ash in the air and dark skies. That is very depressing too.

Thanks Robert have you all heard that one of the biggest fires in California history was caused by a Gender Reveal Party, I swear to baby Jesus I was born in the wrong decade I would have fit right in in the 50s where we respected our elders, our veterans, laws, rules and regulations, and things were made to be fixed, washers and dryers, cars, vacuum cleaners, etc... I would have loved it, and oh yeah the Cancel Culture wasn't invented yet and gender reveals were limited to the doctor handing you your kid and going he's got a dingaling ha ha

Just the fact that we are all on this site tells me we were all born in the wrong time. Tinkering and fixing things is totally out of style in this modern throw-away world. When I was a kid, nothing in the house got thrown away until I took it apart. I remember fixing my mom's clock radio with a paper clip. She was amazed I could do that.

I often find myself giving up items just because I cannot get parts any longer. Our gas range is 23 years old and is slowly falling apart. I can get parts but the cost is outrageous. Wish I could fix it with a paper clip!!!

so first the Bad News: I fought the law and the law won!

I needed some new drill bits anyway so I bought some and tried to drill a relief hole all the way through the bleeder screw to take the pressure off of it's walls, it's done did work before, but nope not this time I went all the way through the caliper casting, adjacent to the normal bleeder hole

Yup threw in the towel and ordered two new calipers, and here are some fun facts:

the Centric 141.62032 Semi Loaded Caliper (front left) was $18 bucks

meanwhile the Centric 141.62031 Semi Loaded Caliper (front right) was $53 bucks

and although both Rock Auto and Amazon claim these part numbers work on the '77 Camaro, take a look at the pic do these even look right?

Injury Report: Unrelated but sucks none the less, went for a little jog on Sunday and jacked up my right knee, I used to be a "runner" ok a jogger, but at 45 my knees just went to mush and now at 48 it's a no go sport for me, but I'm too stubborn to give up and since the swimming pools are closed do to the thing that should not be, I have to exercise somehow, and walking is for grandmas, jk ha ha

so although I got all the parts now to assemble both the front and rear brakes I really shouldn't be moving around

as a reference your Fun Level can only be plus or minus year of the vehicle (Example -54 to 54 in my case) obviously!

ha ha, true I love cycling used to ride a ton (50 miles in one day, once or twice 100 miles, even rode around Lake Tahoe once) anyway funny you say that cause because of the California fires our daughter had us bring over a stationary bike from grandmas house and her and I take turns riding it, I don't mind a stationary bike at all, just as I don't mind running on a treadmill, some do. But I like variety so that's why I tried to jog again.

Sad thing about riding a real bike, is that though we have lovely bike trails along the rivers here in Sacramento, they are heavily populated by the homeless these days, and a lot of them have dogs, but lack leashes if you know what I mean, and there is no more exciting way to raise your heart rate than being [ahem] escorted by a salivating Pit nippin' at your ankles!

I also have a Kinetic trainer for sale, but I have the old rock and roll version. I could never really get into the standard on wheel bike trainer(ive been a cyclist since '89). So I ended up buying a direct drive trainer(wahoo kickr). It is by far the best type of trainer(direct drrive/smart) you can get. I dont even have to change gears anymore. The direct drive smart trainers control all the load/watts you can ever dream of. Then pair that with training software like Sufferfest- and its a game changer.
