Just for fun my grandpas 1966 custom, was a daily driver from 66-00 and now just an occasional driver, couple of repaints but never restored.

No clue, he says they were on the truck when he bought it back in the early 70's, I thought he had bought it new but he says he actually bought it about 5 or 6 years old.

If you do, you'll have to lower the back of the truck..

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

A couple of pics from the Grand Rod Run at Pigeon Forge-TN today.

The first one was pretty interesting- he took a rolled 2005 Trailblazer with 5000 miles on it (airbags did not deploy) and set the '65 stepside on it's entire running gear and frame. Everything was kept from the Trailblazer- the interior the dash the entire electronics. It looked good too. He was working on trade for a chevelle and something else- plus boot. He had it priced at $47000....

The panel was owned by an older couple from Northern Indiana that had been coming to PF for years and at the same spot. He said that he had owned 5 or 6 panels and about the same number of suburbans. All 64-66 and did all the work himself. He was asking $15K and had turned down 12K at the show.

While I am at it here is an interior shot. I stole these seats out of the third row of my wifes Montana van. I made the braces so its like a single bench and mounts to the factory holes.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

350, T400, interior redone in 02, on air bags, 17" steelies, body is in decent shape with all the usual rust areas (not that bad however) I drive the crap out of it....it really runs like a dream!

Man I love that Orange Burb, I was just thinking that when it comes time that a burnt orange would look good on mine! Is that yours BGRAFX?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
