Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
You guys are killing me. I got off the computer last night to watch TV. Between my wife and you guys, I've never been under so much pressure. Today is Friday. I guess I'll work on the truck. Now leave me alone.

We're going to need pictures. When you say "the truck" you mean your truck right? What was on TV that was so good that you had to leave? Let me guess "Dancing with the stars"?Old reruns of "The Sopranos"? Don't tell me it was Lawrence Welk? It was was'nt it. It was Lawence Welk. My god u are old.

What you talking about. I woke up got the kids to school. Went to school myself and took an exam, then came home. I'm retired too remember.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I'm not retired, just tired. Dennis is the old one. Must be nice to be retired. Nothing to do but slurp down a few Black russians and dream about what kinda dash would look good in your truck. Makes my sleepy. Maybe I'll watch a rerun and hit the rack.

Great build thread. I have a question on the door handles are they flat or do they have arch to them? Hope that makes sence..

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
Thanks, They have a curve close to what the door has. I have a little trimming to do to make them a little better. That's why I haven't done the other side yet. If I'm really not happy with them, I'll just shave the doors. Your's is coming out nice too.

Re: 1965/73 Cheap Build Up
I got to do some indirect work on the truck today. BTW HAPPY EASTER EVERY BODY.
I found this shopping cart that was looking for a home, so I took it in and did a make over on him. I was using a wooden engine stand with small wheels on it that was hard to push around, and couldn't work on the engine while being on it. Here it is, and it works great. I can even change the pans on the engine and transmission. Next is to clean the engine, and get the 1990 heads rebuilt, after I finish porting them. I'll use this engine since it was running when I took it out of the 73. When I have the extra money later I'll get the 1990 350 4 bolt mains engine bored and and rebuild that block. I just want to get thing running. By the way that is a 700r4 tranny.

I hope that thing handles that motor and tranny better than they handle a cart load full of food..
