Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: off it goes

hey guys...I apologize for not being on here much lately, unfortunately we had a death of a family member so we needed some downtime to take care of some things. My wife's sister was just 50 yrs old and passed away from cancer this summer, it's been a tough road. As for the truck, it is finished...but still at my buddies shop so I have not brought it home yet due to a couple things. We had a few bugs to work out the worst one being the Air Ride ECU not holding the memory settings and of course AccuAir out of business, I have since found a guy who had a bunch of brand new parts he sold me so I now have a bunch of spare parts as well as another ECU. Cross your fingers and say a prayer this one works...it just arrived today so have not done the swap out yet. Also had been waiting on emblems for the truck as well which just arrived a few days ago as well...so we are getting them installed, 2 side emblems and 1 dash. thanks for all who have followed along the journey...I will get you a rumble video and some more pics, promise...thanks guys

My god! That truck is AWESOME!

Where did those emblems come from?

Condolences to your family, that sucks - I am ready for 2020 to move on.

I don't want to clog up your build thread, but I went through a bunch of it last night.

I have to say it again, That is just impressive craftsmanship!

Re: off it goes

My vote (I know, which counts for very little) is to bring it down to the Sacramento Autorama in early 2021.

it did....truck was worked on 1 day a week, some weeks not at all. So yes it took that long to build. Rome wasn't built in a day, lol

Re: off it goes

Far too many builds nowhere near this level take as long... or longer. My 64 is going on 10yrs as a low budget effort. Life gets in the way as well as not getting into debt, & having all the pieces of the puzzle (working space, time, parts, learning-curve, ETC) align.

I know that there are many, many builds that take wayyyyy longer than first expected, otherwise we probably wouldn't even start them. My guess, most of us "car" guys end up DIYers as we can't afford to pay someone else to do it, but end up actually enjoying the process.

But this build is an example of such high end design, craftsmanship and execution that puts in the car show realm that I would love to be part of but just don't see that happening. No matter how much time I had.

Again, beautiful build! Awesome work! Bring it to Sac!!
