Is that a vinyl wrap or paint?

Also, how did you get that satin finish on the air cleaner?

Looks incredible!

Thanks. I had those buddy buckets before I had the truck. Bought them from a board member and had the seat covers done with left over material that I had. I bought Tom for the purpose of giving the buckets a home.

Glad you like it. It's kinda funny because when my buddies first saw it they asked when I was going to clear it. It took a while for a few of them to come around to understanding that it's done.

It is definitely different, wish you guys could see it in person.

No, it's not a wrap, it's paint - a concoction of Victory Red, flattener and Soft Touch Clear. Kyle with Laid Back Recreations did it.

Bought the air cleaner from Summit like that, complete with the red filter. When I was browsing through the catalog I had to have it for this project.

Glad you like it - thank you.

Thank you all!!

It's met the objective of being unique and fresh, that's for sure. It's nice to go out on a limb and try something different and find out people like it.

Kyle (screamingchevypickup) did one heck of a job painting this and putting it together.

Thanks again for all the compliments!

Sorry I missed ya. Here's the scoop: It's a comfort grip steering wheel. I got it from Classic Chevrolet Parts in OKC, 800 354-4040. Part number is F69-6513-CGK They sell the whole thing as a kit with the horn button and everything you need to mount it.

All of that is on a tilt steering column from Ididit, but it will fit a stock column as well.

Thanks for asking - I didn't skip you on purpose - promise!

Thank you. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. This was supposed to be a project just to get rid of a bunch of parts that I had left over from other projects. Funny how they all work together so well.

Believe it or not, they're as comfortable as they are good looking too. Even though they aren't technically right for a 71, they are really nice to have in there. I have a set of the "correct" buckets in another truck, and I love the look of those, but they aren't as versatile as these.

There's lot's of things to look at on this rascal. Kind of a feast for the eyes if you will. In the engine compartment, there's the firewall shave panels from Porterbuilt, the radiator fill panels, battery is relocated under the bed and so on.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II

Here's the seats that started the whole thing. I had left over houndstooth from my first project, ran across the buddy's for sale by a board member in OK, and thought, hmmm

So, I'm browsing through the For Sale section when I ran across this... He was hauled to OKC from AL by another board member. Probably dozens of board members provided parts too. This board makes it easy to track great stuff down. Love it!

CPP tubular control arms. Ride Tech e3 management, bags, shocks, lines and tank.

Heck, here's pix...

13" brakes from Rob at No Limit...
