Nice trade. I guess that would have the nearly mythical NP833 o/d trans which isn't documented behind a 4.3L? That's even cooler. Does the air blow cold?

I want it! May be seeing you this weekend...

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

i am with you although i wouldnt change out the 4.3, this thing is the ultimate cruiser , the 3 speed with overdrive makes it feel like it has a little power and the overdrive and the 3.08 gears make it glide down the road, it is really pretty cool, i had no idea you could even get a 4.3 in one of these trucks

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

i have hit a brick wall on the funding side......there will be some more progress pics this week, i might have to just put it in primer for now and bring it home from the body shop !! we will see trying to get a quote from my body guy to just rough in the rest of the bodywork paint the inside of the cab and firewall and shoot some flat silver on the outside so i can get it put together and drive it ! all of the fab work ate up my paint budget !!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Thats ok they always cost more then what you think they are going to cost. I try to budget my builds but it never works. I always spend 15 to 20% more than what I budget for. Keep up the good work.

I have been there. When you run out of money you run out of money. To bad it does not grow on trees.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

I read an article in lowrider magazine (dont ask i just download that stuff for free)
Theres a school at PPG that teaches how to use there paints .
Maibe there willing to use youre truck as a teachingtool or demonstrationmodel , it couldnt hurt to ask them

the guy that gave the course was Paul Stoll hes a paint proffessor at ppg and might be the best guy to ask at PPG as he gives the course
