Welcome back, you are an inspiration to all of us on the boards
The panel bond works great. I've used it on several projects. Every body shop uses it routinely now and so do the manufacturers. The key, as always, is good prep.

In October it looked like another whopper of a winter coming but since then it's been mild. And I think it's snowed down your way this weekend. I hope the roads are good by tomorrow because I'm heading that way. I'll be around the Des Moines area the next couple days.

I should probably post an update on the farm truck thread. And I'm going to post a "How to" on refurbishing a truck rear slider window soon.

It did snow down here as I'm sure you've seen if you're already down here. If you're still in the area and have some free time, give me a ring. Maybe we can shoot the breeze again!

Re: Junkyard Jimmy Super Low Buck Build Thread

No real progress but I did buy some drivetrain parts. I had been using the standard sbc with a TH350 tranny and NP205 transfer case. The engine is now in my C10, the tranny wasn't going to last behind more power with bigger axles and tires and I want overdrive. I picked up an LM7 5.3 out of a silverado, just like what I swapped into the C30 crewcab. And today I got a 4L80e and NP208 from a 91 suburban. There's also a possibility I might turbo charge it, I have an exhaust set up for a turbo in a parts car. At the very least it will get a cam and valve spring upgrade. I will be looking at doing a slip yoke eliminator too.

I haven't been working on the Jimmy this winter. Probably won't until next winter. Really going to focus on the crewcab next. And I need to finish repairing the Dana 60 for the plow truck. Just got a few more parts for that and the 4.10 gears for the rear axle so they match. It's got 4.56 gears now and no overdrive.

Anywho, just a little update. Go build something!
