In that pic in front of Bob Eriksen Chevrolet, It looks like the hoods on all of those '61's are darker than the rest of the body. Not sure if they are black or some other dark color.

I just remember the 1979 gas crunch as I was driving by then. I remember paying around 75 cents/gal before I went in the Air Force and when I got out of basic and tech school, just a few months later, it was around a dollar! They had to modify the pumps to allow for another digit. It was like I came back into another world!
