Looking good. The fact that you left the glove box door untouched is impressive. Very Classy.

The funny thing is that there isn't a thing that you didn't touch and add your personal touch to. Your an inspiration to us all.

[QUOTE=ryanroo;7293173]

this is OEM paint. i wanted to leave one part of the truck just like it was. kind of cool for me since grandpas hands touched this who knows how many times.

That's awesome. I like it. I did the same thing with my painted gas cap. OEM 505. Conversation piece, but of coarse your truck will be one hell of a conversation piece top to bottom!

Thank you. id like to say it was my plan from the start, but i never really thought about it till i was loading the last of the stuff for paint. i picked it up and it was obvious. that other side of it is also fun for me. i can honestly say, there is one part i didnt do a thing to. haha

Thanks!

i liked the idea that people would look at it funny and think i just forgot or something. the passenger will have to look at it and then i have a fun story to tell. in between burnouts.

anyhow. a thing or two has happened.

more things are in here. i have more to go but the front harness is getting closer.

i scored this DHD on CL this weekend. the slightly better one that i nabbed from Ryan is on its way shortly, so this is more of a teaser. but for the price it was to hard to pass up. spares are OK right?

i ordered this, then cut it apart and made it suitable to my needs. the paint is still sticky, so mounted pics to come.

its an additional 5 gallons of air storage so i can make a wet/dry system for the air dryer.

these boxes showed up just today.

bilstien 12" 7100s

they are for the rear, but i will likely run the exact same on the front so i can mock with these two and order the others when the debit card cools down.

Re: 72 k20 project

I know I saw it somewhere, but what did you do for an AC compressor?

Mine wants to sit halfway into the passenger side frame rail.

i built a bracket to locate the compressor over the IP on the intake shelf. i also moved the tensioner and used industrial application alternator stuff and ended up with a belt from a ford pickup. the compressor is the dodge one, but i will use a different application of the sanden 4474(?) that has a different port arrangement. there are pics way back in the thread some where and i can try to dig one out of PB too

some more additions

this thing is back

i will be getting the case to the powder coaters soon.

i whittled this out the other day. its an air manifold to direct compressed air around the front of the truck.

i didnt get pics of it mounted i guess, so more on that later

i got these suckers bolted on

they work out just right to not bottom out ever and they run out of stroke in such a way that the bags don't over extend.

i also got this wedged in, the pics are lame, but its hard to get good pics under it..

sorry if I missed it but what air compressor did you go with? I would like to have onboard air someday.

yessir. i started with one of those brackets, but with the twins decided to go this way for clearance on the air inlet.

Thanks mister!

i have a few more things to post but haven't gotten around to uploading the pics. but i had to get these.

so it was my anniversary of birth a while back and my lady ordered my wheels for me.

i immediately went out and bought two more tires...

then i assembled the brakes with the crumball rotors.

so i could make double sure.

after i was positive they fit, i hauled them to the powder coaters...

then, after many more days than expected...
