I did some more color sanding on my truck today. It's a lot of work.

Re: DMV ' Fun ' ~
Well ;
You alls know I've been in The Auto Trade a long time (decades) so I have learned a thing or three ~ This particular Motocycle came to me with not only keys but original title , registration papers and the old blue & yellow license tag I want to keep so I broke out my <magic> phrase Ca. Reg. 256 form and have been patiently trotting my self and the Moto around hither , thither and yon , in the end I expect to get title & tags in my name shortly and retain the blue & yellow license tag , this is just another one of those foolish things I do to hold onto a rapidly vanishing past..... . .

Re : SoCal DMV Service
FWIW ;
The one in Lincoln Heights is terrific as they expect no one to have any correct paper works and so make a point of being very helpful , the lines are to the curb always but well worth the wait IMO . The Auto Club will always be your best bet but , they're not always able to do quite what you want .

Re: SoCal checkin' in
Chili John's in an old timey hole in the wall place in Burbank , they do Chili and nothing else , it's *very* good , they have different typs and let you sample a bit before having " A Bowl Of Red " .
I have quite a few old Honda Tiddlers , the blue one is new to me , I have much tinkering to do to it before re selling it in good running order . Amazingly , I had to remove the engine to access the rectifier ! . Anyone know where I can have the tiny Moto seat recovered ? . TIA ,

Re: SoCal checkin' in
Randy your truck is looking good keep at it. When I was 17 I was a prepper [painters apprentice] and I learned how to buff cars with a pneumatic Sioux grinder/buffer, these suckers weighed about 10 lbs. maybe more by the end of the day my arms and shoulders were beyond numb. Nowadays I use an electric and I'm still numb.

Re: SoCal checkin' in
....I do need to get out. Well I would go to that upcoming show but my truck bottoms out on any lil bump. So free ways are not options to drive on right now. I need new exhaust pipe,shocks,wood bed floor,turn signals not workin. alot of mickey mouse work from previous owner. the list just goes on and on. Barely had my 65 for a month now.

Re: SoCal checkin' in
67 chevy c10 longbed. Thanks for hookin me up with those parts Dan. I didnt expect to sell the truck but I really badly wanted a 60-66 chevy truck. Dad had one back in the days and got me started on a couple of them. Now I finally got this one. It definatly was fun to find parts for the 67 and the new owner drives it daily.

Re: SoCal checkin' in
Hey VDOG,
A guy at work wants to trade his short fleet for mine, his is in better shape... We'll see... Hey I like the '65! My uncle had a silver one just like it. He'd pile about 8 of us (my cousins) in the car when we were kids and we'd head up to the mountains or down to the beach...good times... Dano
